A Brief History

The birth of FEB of conversion program the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) became a State Islamic University (UIN).Based on the decision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 031 dated May 20, 2002, IAIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially changed to UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.Inaugurated by Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia on 8 June 2002 in conjunction with the anniversary ceremonies to-45 and Lustrum-9 as well as first piling construction Campus UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta through fund Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

The change from IAIN to UIN accompanied also with additions of the General Faculty as a form of scientific integration and removal of General Science dichotomy and the science of religion.Prodi-prodi under the conversion program ultimately undertakes within the faculty.Prodi undertakes Management and accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences (FEIS).
 
At the beginning of its founding, the FEIS has two Courses, i.e., Accounting and management.FEIS development such as creating an international Class program (accounting and management) in 2004 in collaboration with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Universiti Utara Army (UUM).The cooperation in the form of double Diploma awarding degree.
A year later, 2005, lays two prodi, namely the status of international relations (IR) and Economics and development studies (IESP) — based on SK Mendiknas Number 2130/D/T/2006 and Non-regular program (accounting, management and IESP) in 2003.In March 2005, carried out the accreditation status of management and accounting.Accreditation management “with” in accordance with the decision letter of the Agency of the National College Accreditation Number 026/BAN/PT/ak-IX/S1/I/2006.While the Accounting accredited “B” in accordance with the decision letter of the Agency of the National College Accreditation Number 028/BAN/PT/ak-IX/S1/I/2006.
With the establishment of the Faculty of social sciences and Government [2] FY 2009/2010 HI, courses — which was originally in FEIS — officially moved to the EXTENSION.As much HI to [2], and by the development of faculty, FEIS proposes name change to become the Faculty of Economics and business (FEB).The name change is adjusted to academic developments and market demands as well as the prospect of a management of faculty forward.This is also conform with prodi prodi owned-Faculty of Economics and business, namely the status of accounting (regular and international class), Prodi management (regular and international class) and the status of Economics and development studies/IESP (Regular).
From year to year, the FEB has undergone development, both in the number of small, facilities, the quality of graduates and the quality of service.Judging from the total amount of the whole, either had graduated or were still active, the number of students reaches 5000 FEB.In some of the academic year, FEB ever open four classes for each course (management, accounting and IESP).FEB 2010, limiting the number of acceptance of new students.Consequently each of the majors just open two classes only. Not only that, beginning in 2009, the non-regular programs (to Department of accounting, management and IESP) is no longer open admissions.And now being spent force students who already exist.Academic activities supporting facilities were created which are hotspots that provide ease of access to the internet for students and professors; The Mini banks as a means of supporting practical banking; The corner of Exchange and capital markets which provide information about the development of the capital market and financial investment; Carrier Office as information center, the world of work, or an internship; Faculty website as information and data service centres and economic development Agencies.Other academic development is going to the opening of the Masters Program in both the master of accounting (MAKSI), master of Science in management (MIM), and master of the economy which is currently in the process of management of SK.
The quality of graduates or the alumni can be viewed from the value of the average GPA graduates with satisfactory value (3.00-3.70).The increasing number of alumni continue Graduate good FEB domestically and abroad.A survey — who has done one of the lecturer FEB in 2009 — stated that 79.3 percent of alumni continue Graduate interested in FEB. To in the country as in the UI, UGM, UNPAD, Trisaksi University, and other universities.For overseas such as in Malaysia, Australia, Russia.Other programs for the enhancement of the quality of the conducted like building cooperation with other universities both within the country and abroad in the form of a perogram double degree and student exchange to Australia (2005), Tari Saman to Singapore (2010), Summer School (International Grade 10 students) to Germany (2011) and delivery to American Coed footsal player (2010).
Seen from the akseptabilitasnya in the world of work, 50 per cent of alumni FEB after graduating or completing college acquired the job.The time it takes to get the job was 0-1 years.Almost all ministries in Indonesia and other agency offices already is a graduate of the FEB, mainly for accounting positions, such as the Ministry of religion, Ministry of finance, the Ministry of human rights, and others.
It even has also been a lot of alumni working in various FEB bank Indonesia’s major such as BCA, Bank Mandiri, Bank BNI, Bank Mandiri, Bank BRI Syariah, Bank Muamalat and others.Judging from his creativity in open job opportunities, has many young entrepreneur who was born born through business incubators in cooperation with various outside parties such as Bank Mandiri in assisting the efforts of creation of entrepreneur from among the students and alumni of the FEB.There has even been a FEB alumni go international with its products, such as javacappucino.
From the side of the Ministry, trying to make the FEB students as the major stakeholders, which have to be served in prime.The embodiment of that excellent service be the service of one of the doors (one stop service).Now begins the creation of the website of the individual lecturers to facilitate information and communication process of interactive learning between professors and students.
In 2011-2012, three courses in FEB perform accreditation for the second time.As a result, the management study program — based on the decision letter of the Agency of the National College Accreditation number: 018//BAN-PT/Ak-SURVEY-III/S1/XII/2011, dated December 22, 2011 — get the value of “A” (361) are valid until July 28, 2016.
Prodi Accounting — based on the decision letter of the BAN PT number 008/BAN-PT/Ak-XIV/VI/2011 – get the value of “B” (347) valid until 23 June 2016.While the Pros of Economics and development studies — based on the decision letter of the Agency of the National College Accreditation number: 023/BAN-PT/Ak-SURVEY-III/S1/III/2012, dated March 16, 2012 — get the value of “A” (365), valid until July 28, 2016.
Further development is in 2012, the official FEB. opened two new courses, namely courses on Islamic banking and Islamic Economics study programs based on decision letter of Director General of Islamic education Number 1119 in 2012.These courses are organized by reference to the regulation of the Minister of religious affairs Number 36 in 2009 about the determination of the Pembidangan of science and academic degree in the College Environment. For the first, FEB exposing classes to respective prodi recently.Two new prodi was organized to respond to the needs and challenges of Islamic banking, Islamic finance and Islamic Economics in Indonesia.So until now FEB has had five courses: management (regular program and international class), accounting (regular program and international class), economics and development studies, Islamic banking, and Islamic Economics.
As one of the efforts to improve the standard of academic services, FEB has tried to follow the certification ISO 9001:2008 and thank God, the certificate gets official FEBRUARY in early 2013.
