FEB Goes Global, Sends its Students to Participate in the National Arabic Art and Literature Festival

Thank God, this year is a year of change for the Faculty of Economics and Business to increase capacity. Not only experts in the field of economics and entrepreneurship, but FEB students are also experts in the fields of religion and language. Who will be able to communicate not only in English but also in Arabic. So that students are excited to further strengthen their Arabic language, there needs to be competition. FEB’s participation in the Festival of Arabic Arts and Literature on Earth Archipelago (HAMASAH 2022) is a University-level Arabic language competition. This event will be held on Wednesday 23 November to Thursday 24 November 2022 to be exact. The FEB language team, especially the Arabic team, sent their delegation to take part in a series of competitions in the Arabic Arts and Literature Gleaming which was held at the Islamic Dirasat Faculty of UIN Jakarta. This competition on a national scale succeeded in attracting participants from various regions. FEB by sending its delegates to take part in several branches of the competition. Among them are Arabic Debate Competitions, Arabic Speeches, and Arabic Poetry Reading.

For the Arabic Debate competition branch, 1 Men’s Team and 1 Women’s Team are represented: Mahira Fikriya (2021 Sharia Economics), Yulyana (2020 Accounting), Aqiela Almas Qoriroh (2022 Accounting), Ibnu Dzakir RB dahyar (2021 Sharia Economics), Muhammad Chalifatu Syamsi (Accounting 2022) and Muhammas Zaki Zamani (Sharia Economics 2022). Furthermore, the Arabic speech competition branch was represented by Muhammad Habib Maulana (Sharia Economics 2022) and Aulia Latifah (Accounting 2022). And for the Arabic Poetry Reading competition branch, Fatma Indriana (Accounting 2020) and Lutfia Salsabila Putri Afifa (Sharia Economics 2021) were represented.

We hope that the participation of FEB students in this event will improve the quality and enthusiasm of students to continue learning and hone their talents and potential, especially in the field of language. And hopefully this Club Arabic can continue to run and give birth to superior seeds who not only master economics and knowledge, but also religion and linguistics. Because the limits of our language are the limits of our world.

Company Visit Bersama kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia

Selasa, 15 November 2022 – Tax Center UIN Jakarta bersama dengan Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia mengadakan acara Company Visit yang bertemakan “Kondisi Perpajakan Terkini”. Tujuan diadakannya Company Visit bersama dengan Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia ini adalah sebagai sarana untuk menambah informasi terkait kondisi perpajakan terkini di Indonesia, serta mengenal lebih dekat dengan Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia.

Acara Company Visit ini dilaksanakan melalui Zoom Meeting yang dimulai pada pukul 09.00 WIB hingga pukul 11.50 WIB. Acara diawali dengan pembukaan oleh MC yaitu Saudara Irfandika Pratama. Lalu, dilanjutkan dengan ice breaking yakni dengan melakukan happy dance. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemutaran video sambutan Menteri Keuangan Republik Indonesia, Ibu Sri Mulyani Indrawati. Setelah itu, terdapat sambutan dari Ibu Wilda Farah, selaku pembina Tax Center UIN Jakarta.

Setelah sambutan-sambutan, acara dilanjutkan dengan kuis mentimeter yang dipandu oleh MC. Selanjutnya memasuki acara inti, yakni pemaparan materi yang disampaikan oleh Bapak Agus Puji Priyono selaku Fungsional Penyuluh Pajak Ahli Muda Kanwil DJP Banten, yang dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab yang diikuti oleh peserta Company Visit dengan sangat antusias bersama narasumber. Selanjutnya terdapat pemaparan dari Bapak Rezha Sahhilny Amran selaku Kepala Sub. Bagian Edukasi Pubik, Biro KLI, Kementerian Keuangan Republik Indonesia. Company Visit ini dihadiri oleh kurang lebih 105 peserta dari mahasiswa UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, dan juga berbagai kalangan, mulai dari masyarakat umum, serta mahasiswa beberapa Perguruan Tinggi di seluruh Indonesia. Kemudian acara dilanjutkan dengan sesi foto bersama, dan pengumuman pemenang challenge. Setelah itu MC menutup acara pada pukul 11.50 WIB.

Friday, November 18 Education Laboratory staff held a Research Dissemination. This activity is an effort to disseminate the research results of the lecturers so that they can be known by the public. The implementation of the Research Dissemination activity was supported by the DPP of the Indonesian Lecturer Association (ADI) and the DPP research division of the Islamic Economics Lecturer Association (ADESY). This activity was held in a hybrid manner, namely presenters and discussants and several participants in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of FEB and other participants took part via zoom.

This activity was opened in advance by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nur Rianto Al Arif, M.Sc in his capacity as Deputy Dean at FEB, Secretary General of DPP ADI, and Chair in charge of DPP ADESY research. In his remarks, he said that the initial idea of this research dissemination activity was as an effort to test the public on research conducted by lecturers, both in the form of results from dissertations and those that had been published in journal articles. In addition, this activity is to showcase new young economists at the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. This activity collaborated with the DPP of the Indonesian Lecturer Association and the Association of Islamic Economics Lecturers as an effort to expand dissemination. In the future, it is hoped that the dissemination of the results of this research will not only be presented by lecturers at the internal FEB of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta but will also listen to presentations from lecturers outside UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

The first speaker in the research dissemination session was Zuhairan Yunmi Yunan, Ph.D. He is a lecturer at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta’s Faculty of Economics and Business who has completed his doctoral studies at the University of Canberra, Australia. On this occasion, he presented his dissertation material on the economic impact of corruption at the sub-national level. While the discussants on the first material are Dr. Arief Fitrijanto, M.Si (Lecturer at FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta).

Meanwhile, the second speaker in this research dissemination session was Rahmawati, Ph.D. He is a lecturer at FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta who is also Deputy Treasurer of the Indonesian Lecturer Association DPP Period 2022-2027. He completed his further doctoral studies at IIUM, Malaysia. On this occasion, he explained about financial reporting practices at BMT. The discussant on the second material is Zaenal Muttaqin, MPP (Lecturer at FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta).

Monday, November 7 2022. Implementation of the Competent Muamalat Institute (MIKO) mentoring program at the bintaro branch office. Mentoring begins with a speech by the head of the branch, followed by an introductory session of student interns and the Relations Manager.

Fandi Nurrakhman as the Relations Manager explained regarding technical implementation guidelines, the flow of mentoring branch relations managers to students, how students register as referral providers, how students process submitting application referrals, and the final explanation regarding filling in the e form by the relation manager.

The next explanation is about the socialization of the multipurpose haj financing program (PROHAJJ) by Widya Rizkika as the relation manager. Prohajj is a multipurpose financing for hajj planning with a wakalah bil ujroh contract and this prohajj is part of Bank Muamalat’s hajj program. This session also explained the customer criteria and document requirements in registering the portion of the pilgrimage. It is also known that bank muamalat now has a relationship with the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) as a shareholder.

At the end of the mentoring, the relation manager held a quiz as the ice breaking of today’s meeting, followed by a prayer and a group photo with Bank Muamalat Bintaro KCP.

Friday, October 14, 2022 at 06.00 WIB the company visit participants registered for departure which took place near the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta bus parking lot. Then at 07.00 – 08.30 WIB the participants and accompanying lecturers of the activity traveled to the office building of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). After arriving at the office building of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the participants first lined up for antigen swabs that had been provided by the company. After all the company visit participants finished and received information regarding negative antigen swab results, they were directed to enter the office building of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), to be precise, the Gandhi Auditorium. The event session took place from 09.30 – 11.15 WIB.

The first event was the opening by the MC of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), which was followed by remarks. The first remarks were delivered by the accompanying lecturer for the activity, namely Dr. Rusdianto, M.Sc. and further remarks were delivered by representatives of the Head of the Legal and Communication Bureau who were unable to attend. After conducting the welcoming session, namely the event session with presentation of material by speakers regarding the introduction of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP, Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID), and Investigative Audit at 09.45 – 10.15 WIB. After completing the whole series of presentations the presenters continued with question and answer session. Before the closing session, the participants conducted an ice breaking session by conducting a quiz made by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). For those giving questions in the question and answer session and the winners in the ice breaking session, they received merchandise that had been prepared by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). Male participants perform Friday prayers at the mosque of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) building, for the women lunch has been provided by the committee in the Gandhi Auditorium. Furthermore, after Friday prayers , the male participants took turns eating si ang. Then followed by a group photo session and continued with the journey home at 13.00 – 14.00 WIB.
