Harmonizing Islamic Banking Curriculum, FEB Holds Curriculum Transformation Workshop
Ciputat - Thursday, July 03, 2025 at the meeting room of the FEB Building of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, a workshop was held specifically to discuss the Islamic banking curriculum at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels of Islamic banking. The event initiated by the FEB post-graduate program invited Dr. Hexana Sri Lastanti, M.Si from Trisakti University Jakarta as the main speaker with participants consisting of the heads and secretaries of Islamic banking study programs from undergraduate, master and doctoral programs.
In her presentation, Dr. Hexana conveyed the importance of synergy in the preparation of a curriculum, starting from universities, regulators, lecturers, students, practitioners, and industries related to the implementation of study programs. “The synergy of Islamic banking stakeholders is very important in the preparation of the curriculum so that graduates of the study program can be accepted by the Islamic banking industry,” said the lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, Trisakti University.
Rahmawati, a workshop participant and secretary of the doctor of Islamic banking program, said that this activity would be a strategic step in harmonizing the Islamic banking curriculum at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels. “This is a strategic step for FEB which has Islamic banking study programs from S1 to S3 to harmonize the curriculum,” said Rahmawati.
The curriculum workshop lasted for one full day with an agenda of material exposure, curriculum review and discussion. (AC)
