Inauguration and Working Meeting of the Central Board of the Sharia Economics Lecturer Association (ADESy) for the 2022-2025

Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the Inauguration and Working Meeting of the Central Management of the Sharia Economics Lecturer Association (ADESy) for the 2022-2025 period was held at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This inauguration is a continuation of the results of the National Conference of Islamic Economics Lecturers Association on 30-31 October 2021 at Darussalam University Gontor. This National Conference again confirmed Prof. Hilman Latief, MA, Ph.D as General Chair of the Central Board of the Sharia Economics Lecturer Association (ADESy) for the 2022-2025 period. The inauguration procession of the ADESy Central Board was carried out in a hybrid manner, where only representatives from the Daily Management Board attended offline and others attended online via zoom meetings.
ADESy was established with the aim of being an association that encourages sharia economics lecturers to develop and fulfill the qualifications and competencies needed to carry out their profession, build networks between educational institutions, maintain moral credibility and professional ethics, and channel the aspirations of sharia economics lecturers in the national education system. ADESy’s vision is as a forum for friendship to develop potential, build competence, and synergize sharia economics lecturers in education, research and community empowerment.
The inauguration activity was then continued with the Sharia Economics Study Program Workshop with the theme “Profile of Graduates of Sharia Economics Study Program in Facing Society 5.0.” This workshop activity presented three resource persons, namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutan Emir Hidayat (Director of Sharia Ecosystem Infrastructure KNEKS), M. Hasbi Zaenal, Ph.D (Director of Puskas Baznas), and Prof. Dr. M. Nur Rianto Al Arif, M.Si (Professor of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta / Chair II of PP ADESy). This workshop activity was moderated by Dr. Agung Abdullah, MM (Secretary General of ADESy).
In the management of ADESy for the 2022-2025 period, there are several names of lecturers from FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. On the board of directors there are Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nur Rianto Al Arif, SE, M.Si (Chairman II for Research and Development), Dr. Erika Amelia, M.Si (Vice Treasurer), Dr. Nofrianto, M.Ag (Member of Education and Teaching), and Dwi Nur’aini Ihsan, MM (Member of Research and Development). Then in the ranks of the Expert Council there are Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia, M.Ag and Ir. H. M. Nadratuzzaman Hosen, MS, M.Ec, Ph.D, and Prof. Dr Amilin, SE, Ak, M.Si as a member of the Advisory Board.
Monday, January 24, 2021, a National Webinar will be held. The theme of this event is “Revolutionizing the Islamic Finance Industry with Technology.” This activity is a collaboration between FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah and Hijra Bank. In this activity, the Launching of a Masters Program in Islamic Economics will also be carried out. The Sharia Economics Masters Program is a new study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business. New student admissions will begin in early 2022.
This activity was opened with remarks by Prof. Dr. Amilin, M.Sc., Ak (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business) and Tri Israharjo Santoso (President Director of Hijra Bank). The Master Program in Islamic Economics was officially launched by the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, represented by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA. The launch was marked by showing a video profile of the master’s program in Islamic economics.
This activity will present four speakers. The first resource person was Mochammad Nizar Mustaqim (Head of Business Development Peer to Peer Alami Sharia) who discussed Fintech in the Islamic Finance Industry. Then Muhammad Hasbi Zaenal, Ph.D (Lecturer of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah / Director of Puskas Baznas) who discussed Digitalization in the Zakat Industry. Next Dr. Muhajirin, MEI (Lecturer of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah) who discussed the digitalization of waqf management in Indonesia. Last is Dr. Atmo Prawiro, M.E.Sy (Lecturer of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah) who discussed the application of technology in the halal industry. The moderator for this activity is Dr. Nofrianto, M.Ag (Head of the Sharia Economics Masters Study Program).
Participants of this activity spread from all over Indonesia. This activity aims to introduce the use of technology to the Islamic economy and finance industry. In addition, this activity aims to introduce the master’s program in Islamic economics FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. This activity was supported by Hijra Bank, the Association of Indonesian Islamic Economists (IAEI) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Commissariat, and Puskas Baznas.
In mid-November 2021, the Head of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, had the opportunity to do a comparative study at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya. On this occasion, the leadership of FEB UIN Jakarta was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Deputy Dean 1, Deputy Dean 3, Chair and Secretary of the Department of Sharia Economics and Chair of the Masters Program in Islamic Economics, Universitas Airlangga. The two parties discussed the governance of the sharia economics master program, discussed the continuation of MBKM cooperation for the undergraduate program and the potential for developing collaborations related to lecture exchanges, colloquium thesis and dissertations, journal publications, joint research and others.
