Monday, January 24, 2021, a National Webinar will be held. The theme of this event is “Revolutionizing the Islamic Finance Industry with Technology.” This activity is a collaboration between FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah and Hijra Bank. In this activity, the Launching of a Masters Program in Islamic Economics will also be carried out. The Sharia Economics Masters Program is a new study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business. New student admissions will begin in early 2022.

This activity was opened with remarks by Prof. Dr. Amilin, M.Sc., Ak (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business) and Tri Israharjo Santoso (President Director of Hijra Bank). The Master Program in Islamic Economics was officially launched by the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, represented by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Zulkifli, MA. The launch was marked by showing a video profile of the master’s program in Islamic economics.

This activity will present four speakers. The first resource person was Mochammad Nizar Mustaqim (Head of Business Development Peer to Peer Alami Sharia) who discussed Fintech in the Islamic Finance Industry. Then Muhammad Hasbi Zaenal, Ph.D (Lecturer of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah / Director of Puskas Baznas) who discussed Digitalization in the Zakat Industry. Next Dr. Muhajirin, MEI (Lecturer of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah) who discussed the digitalization of waqf management in Indonesia. Last is Dr. Atmo Prawiro, M.E.Sy (Lecturer of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah) who discussed the application of technology in the halal industry. The moderator for this activity is Dr. Nofrianto, M.Ag (Head of the Sharia Economics Masters Study Program).

Participants of this activity spread from all over Indonesia. This activity aims to introduce the use of technology to the Islamic economy and finance industry. In addition, this activity aims to introduce the master’s program in Islamic economics FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. This activity was supported by Hijra Bank, the Association of Indonesian Islamic Economists (IAEI) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Commissariat, and Puskas Baznas.
