Islamic Economic Goes to Disability and Community: UIN Jakarta KSEI LiSEnSi Program Innovation Spreads the Wings of Sharia Economic Socialization to People with Disabilities
March 5, 2022, which coincided on Saturday, at the Madya Hall 2nd Floor, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, the Islamic Economic Goes to Disability & Community agenda was held by KSEI LiSEnSi UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This event raised the theme "The Role of Islamic Capital Markets in Improving the National Economy", starting at 09.00 WIB with the opening by the MC, reading the divine word, speeches, group sharing and mentoring sessions, presentation of material, symbolic assistance, and ended at 11.40 WIB with a prayer. The remarks which were preceded by the Chief Executive, Novel Diva Aulia and continued by other communities, essentially explained how important it is to increase Islamic economic literacy and education to people who are not yet widely known, namely disability and the reasons for bringing up the theme of the Islamic capital market on this agenda. Muhammad Chandra Setyawan, as Coordinator of PPM (Community Development and Empowerment) KSEI LiSEnSi explained, indeed this IEGTD&C program is the latest breakthrough or innovation to spread the wings of Islamic economic socialization, namely to people with disabilities, and collaborating with other communities to be mentors on this agenda is an event friendship. In the mentoring session, they were divided into 4 groups consisting of mentors and participants with disabilities. The mentors explained in basic terms the material that had been provided, namely the understanding, basics, and principles of the Islamic capital market. Then, after listening to the basic explanations from the mentors, there was more detailed or in-depth material by the presenters on the IEGTD&C agenda, namely Aini Masruroh, SEI., MM (Shariah Banking Lecturer at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta). She explained the urgency of investing for all ages, how to manage income as an investment, education about fraudulent investments. After discussing investment in general, Mrs. Aini Masruroh as the speaker explained investment instruments in the Islamic capital market, both in terms of understanding and technically. It was felt that there was still a lack of understanding during the mentoring agenda, participants with disabilities asked several questions related to investment lending, then an interactive discussion took place between the presenters and participants. Then it was continued with the symbolic giving of assistance, thank God, the funds collected amounted to Rp. 2,570,000 from the results of fundraising conducted by KSEI LiSEnSi, KSEI RECOR UMJ, SELSMIT (Sharia Economic Law Student's Moslem Intellectual), and IRMAFA (Fathullah Mosque Youth Association) for the Association. Permaste disability. And closed with a prayer. Mentors from KSEI Record UMJ, SELSMIT, and IRMAFA appreciated this agenda and thanked them for being invited to collaborate on this agenda. Muhammad Chandra Setyawan as the coordinator and the deputy coordinator of PPM, Ilma Mahcepat Kamalia, explained that the collaboration with the Permaste Disability Association had started since the LiSEnSi Sharing agenda in 2021 and God willing, we will continue to be in touch and collaborate at other times.
