Tax Study: The Effectiveness of Increasing VAT Rates during a Pandemic
Saturday, June 18, 2022 - Tax Center UIN Jakarta held a tax study webinar with the theme "Effectiveness of VAT Rate Increase in a Pandemic Period". The purpose of holding this webinar activity is to provide the latest insights to webinar participants regarding the policy on the application of Value Added Tax (VAT) which has increased the rate to 11% on April 1, 2022. Through technical socialization activities and providing education about the 11% VAT rate increase to the public, it is hoped that this can be a reflection of public anxiety about the VAT increase and whether the VAT increase policy will be an effective thing to implement during the pandemic.
This event starts at 09.30 WIB until 11.35 WIB online via Zoom Meeting. This activity began with the opening of the MC, namely Brother Farhan Arfan. Then, it was continued with the reading of the divine word by Sister Siti Fatimah Humairah. Then proceed with singing the anthem Indonesia Raya. After that, there was a speech from Brother Farhan Firmansyah as chairman of the Tax Center UIN Jakarta for the 2021/2022 period. Then, followed by a documentation session guided by the operator.
The event continued with a material presentation session which was guided by a moderator, namely Sister Jasmin Darussalam. Starting with the MC reading the moderator's CV, then before entering the material, an introductory video from Artax Consultant was shown. In this session the material was delivered by a speaker from Artax Consultant represented by Sisters Jesicca and Monica who discussed material related to the effectiveness of increasing VAT rates during the Pandemic. After the presentation session was finished, it was followed by a question and answer session.
Then the event continued with the awarding of e-Certificates to Sisters Jesicca and Monica as presenters in this Tax Study, as well as giving e-Certificates to Sister Jasmin Darussalam as moderators of this tax study. Next, there was the reading of the closing prayer which was read by Brother Aditya Putra Dedi Pratama. After closing with a prayer, the series of Tax Study events ended.
