Ciputat (25/06/2021) - The Master Program in Islamic Banking Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah held a Training on Quantitative Analysis Research Methodology with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Approach and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) Approach. This training was spearheaded directly by the Head of the Islamic Banking Masters Study Program FEB Nur Hidayah, PhD.

The event took place via the Zoom Meeting platform and opened with remarks from the Head of the Islamic Banking Masters Study Program, FEB Nur Hidayah, PhD. The training took place from 13.00-16.00 by presenting resource persons from expert lecturers in the DEA approach, Dr. Fitri Amalia, M.Si and an expert lecturer in the SFA approach, Dr. Arief Fitrijanto, M.Sc.

This training aims to help students, especially students of the Faculty of Economics and Business in their research, especially for students who want to research about efficiency and what approaches can be used to measure the level of efficiency. In addition, this training also aims to increase students' knowledge and knowledge regarding the efficiency of analysis with DEA and SFA.

This training also discusses that the DEA and SFA approaches can measure efficiency in the fields of banking, education, health, transportation, as well as companies or factories. Besides that, students participating in the training were given time to ask questions related to efficiency, the DEA approach, and the SFA approach and participants were also trained how to operate the DEA and SFA approach tools and the techniques that could be used to determine the variables that could be used to measure efficiency.

At the end of the training, it was stated that both the DEA and SFA approaches are only tools that can be used to measure efficiency. So it is better before conducting research, it is very important to understand the philosophy and logical flow of the use of this method in the context of the research being conducted, one of which can be understood through a literature review.
