Opening and International Webinar of We Share 2021
The Week of Sharia Economic Exhibition (WESHARE) 2021 is an Islamic Economic Study Circle (LiSEnSi) activity. It is held every two years. Saturday, December 04, 2021, WESHARE was held the International Webinar. This event was also the opening of the Weshare event in 2021. The International Webinar has the theme "Strategy and Challenge to Improve Financial Literacy and Increase Financial Inclusion of Global Economic".
The event was opened by the MC at 08.40 WIB. Then it was followed by the reading of Kalam Illahi, singing the anthem Indonesia Raya and Mars FoSSEI, remarks from the chief executive, the head of LiSEnSi, the supervisor of LiSEnSi, the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni and Cooperation. This activity was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nur Rianto Al Arif, SE, M.Si, CRA, CRP, CIB, CPF, AWP. Then it was continued with the beating of the gong, which was represented by LiSEnSi coaches, namely Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia, M.Ag., CRA., CRP.
The activity was then continued with a keynote speech by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, represented by the Head of the Bureau of Economics and Finance of the Secretariat Mochamad Abbas, M.Sc. In addition, the keynote speech was also delivered by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, who was represented by the Expert Staff of the Minister of Finance, Dr. Wempi Saputra. The performance of Dance by Ratoh Jaroe became the main entertainment and received a positive response from the participants. Documentation is also carried out which ends with a video opening and sponsorship.
The main event, was moderated by Mrs. Rahmawati, S.E., M.M., Ph.D as Lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Business UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The first speaker was Drg. Moh. Arief Rosyid Hasan, MKM as the Independent Commissioner of Bank Syariah Indonesia who brought material about the influence of young people in the development of financial literacy and the potential of Islamic finance. The second speaker is Prof. Dr. Salina Kassim as Professor of Islamic Banking and Finance International Islamic University Malaysia. He explained the topic of the current development of Islamic financial literacy which plays an important role in improving the economy. Based on the data, 55% or 2.9 thousand people only control wealth < $ 10,000. 32% or 1.7 thousand people own a fortune of $10,000-$100,000. 11.1% of people control $100,000-$1 billion. So that financial literacy must support the essence of justice according to sharia principles.
The third speaker was Prof. Abdul Ghafar Ismail as Professor of Islamic Financial Economics University Islamic Science Malaysia. He explained that financial knowledge for Muslims must refer to the holy book Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah which focuses on ethical transactions that are good in nature and have positive values for individuals and society without a place of greed and jealousy -Examples, waste, dealing with usury, Owning a property without an owner, selling something you don't own, is not allowed. After all the speakers delivered the material, it was time to arrive at the end of the event, namely prayer and closing and the whole event ended at 12.55 WIB
