Gedung Rektorat, BERITA UIN Online— The Zakat Accounting System UIN Jakarta has won an award for innovation in Indonesian Zakat and Waqf Management from the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenag). The award was given at the 2021 Zakat and Waqf Literacy Festival Appreciation Night, Thursday night (2/12/2021). The award was delivered directly by the Deputy Minister of Religion (Wamenag) Dr. Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi to the Vice Rector for Administration at UIN Jakarta Prof. Dr. Ahmad Rodoni. "We convey this award as a thank you to individuals and institutions that have contributed to increasing zakat and waqf literacy in the country," said the Deputy Minister of Religion when giving the appreciation. Representing the leadership and academic community of UIN Jakarta, Vice Rector, Ahmad Rodoni expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Religion for the appreciation given. He also hopes that this appreciation can further motivate the UIN Jakarta Zakat Accounting System team to continue to improve its innovation. Separately, the coordinator of the Zakat Accounting System innovator team, Dr Rini, a lecturer in the FEB Accounting study program, also expressed his gratitude for the appreciation given by the Ministry of Religion. He also expressed his appreciation to the leadership and civitas of UIN Jakarta for the support that enabled the innovation of the zakat accounting system to be carried out. The Zakat Accounting System at UIN Jakarta is one of many individuals and institutions who are rewarded with appreciation for zakat and waqf activists in Indonesia. The Ministry of Religion also rewards various activist individuals and institutions in several categories. UIN Jakarta hope this award for one of the innovations from the FEB Accounting study program teacher will further strengthen FEB's existence in the development of Islamic accounting and economics in Indonesia.
