Tafakur 2022: Improving Self Quality by Expanding Relationship Networks and Developing Potential in the Present
Saturday, October 1, 2022, the Faculty of Economics and Business held another Tafakur activity. This Tafakur activity is a routine activity that is held annually for new students as a continuation of the Introduction to Academic and Student Culture (PBAK). The theme raised at the Tafakur activity in 2022 is Improving Self Quality by Expanding Relationship Networks and Developing Potential in the Present. This activity was supported by the Student Executive Council (DEMA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and all student organizations at the Faculty of Economics and Business.
This activity was opened with remarks delivered by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nur Rianto Al Arif, M.Sc. In his speech he conveyed several policies that have been carried out by the Faculty in increasing the soft skills potential of students. In addition, he conveyed how important it is for students to emphasize not only academics but also to be diligent in staying in touch and developing networks through organizations.
The resource person for this activity is Drg. M. Arief Rosyid Hasan, M.KM (Independent Commissioner of Bank Syariah Indonesia) and Adiva Chesa Hanafia, AmD, AB. Adiva in his presentation conveyed how important we are about our strengths and weaknesses. Recognizing these strengths and weaknesses will enable us to explore our potential that can be developed.
Then the next resource person Muhammad Arief Rosyid Hasan who served as General Chair of PB HMI in 2013-2015 said that once we are able to recognize who we are, then we will be able to determine what our next step will be. The next step is to build a network through friendship. One of the ways to strengthen the network is through organizational activities. Organizations will be able to cultivate various skills that are included in the Top 10 soft skills issued by the World Economic Forum. Therefore, it is important for students to strengthen networks.
