2022 National Zakat Day Webinar
Thursday, April 28, 2022, to coincide with the 27th of Ramadan 1443 H, the Zakat Organization Forum (FOZ) in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a National Webinar. This webinar was held to commemorate the 2022 National Zakat Day. As is well known, the Sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, has set the 27th of Ramadan as the National Zakat Day in 2013. This commemoration is carried out to increase people's enthusiasm in paying zakat The speakers at this Webinar are Dr. Mohammad Lutfi, MM who is a Sharia Economics Lecturer from FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and Fahrizal Amir who is the Principal of the Indonesian Amil School. The theme for this webinar is Rising Together with Zakat. The two resource persons explained well how the role of zakat in empowering the people and the economy. This webinar activity was moderated by Shela Asfira Komalasari who is a student of the zakat campus program from the Islamic Economics Study Program FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nur Rianto Al Arif, M.Si in his speech welcomed the commemoration of the 2022 National Zakat Day which was held in the form of a joint webinar between FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and the Zakat Organization Forum and the Indonesian Amil School. Zakat worship as it is known has two dimensions, namely the relationship with Allah SWT and the relationship with fellow human beings. Zakat from an economic perspective is the first social security system that was implemented long before the social security system in modern society. Zakat that can be collected massively and then utilized effectively will play a significant role in the economy of a country, including in terms of poverty alleviation
