Session 2 National Webinar: Sharia Investment
The Week of Sharia Economic Exhibition (WESHARE) 2021 is an Islamic Economic Study Circle (LiSEnSi) activity which is held every two years. Sunday, December 5, 2021, WESHARE is holding a national-based event, the Second National Webinar. This National Webinar carries the topic of "Sharia Investment" with the theme "Easy and Blessing Sharia Investment". The second speaker was Irwan Abdalloh, S.E., MM. as Head of the Sharia Division of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. He explained about the Potential of the Islamic Capital Market in Indonesia. With a majority Muslim population in Indonesia and a country that has the largest Islamic financial assets in the world as well as clear capital market regulations, 25 of the 141 DSN MUI fatwas are fatwas regarding the permissibility of investing or other transactions in the Islamic capital market. He said that sharia investment is not gambling, sharia investment is a transaction of buying and selling sharia securities to generate profits and blessings.
