Public Speaking Webinar: Know Yourself, Build Your Skills, and Let’s Speak!
The Development Economics Study Program Student Association for the 2021 period, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) held a Public Speaking Webinar on Saturday, September 25, 2021. This webinar activity raised the theme "Know Yourself, Build Your Skills, and Let's Speak!". This webinar activity is open to the public and is conducted semi-online via Zoom Meeting as a webinar media and several committee members are at the Faculty of Economics and Business Building, Jalan Ibnu Sina IV, Ciputat, South Tangerang to coordinate directly on the course of this activity. This Public Speaking Webinar activity discusses personal branding and public speaking techniques. The webinar is held with the main objective that participants who take part in this activity can find their own characteristics, be able to build a brand on themselves, build self-confidence, and dare to speak in public. This Public Speaking Webinar activity is an initial series which will be followed by Public Speaking Training activities. This program is one of the Grand Prokers of the Development Economics Student Association for the 2021 period which is held by the Department of Public Relations. There are 650 registered in the activity group and 302 participants who have successfully registered in this event.
The webinar activity began with participant registration, then the opening ceremony by the MC with other opening sequences such as the divine word, singing the Indonesia Raya anthem and also speeches. The first speech was delivered by the Chief Executive, namely Ra'uf Delfian Nugroho, the second speech by the Deputy Chair of the HMPS Development Economics, namely Mr. M. Difa Baihaqi and the last remarks by the Head of the Development Economics Study Program, Mr. Dr. Muhammad Hartana Iswandi Putra, M.Sc. After the speech was finished, a group photo was taken and continued with material presentation by Cristy Natalia as Brand Ambassador @speak.project, Talent MC @speak.talent and Founder @unionhouse.id which we have successfully invited as resource persons for the Public Speaking Webinar. After the presentation of the material, it was followed by a question and answer session and participant practice guided by Fadia Zulfah Fazrin as the moderator of this activity. After the activity, games were held as ice breaking for the participants and certificates were given to moderators and presenters as well as souvenirs in the form of plaques for the Speak Project to support this webinar activity. All important series have been passed and continued with closing and prayer as the final series of the Public Speaking Webinar activity.
