24 FEB UIN Jakarta students conducted a company visit to the Ho Chi Minh City Startup and Innovation Center and InBold International Asia Area.
Ho Chi Minh City, November 19, 2025 — Twenty-four students from the Faculty of Economics and Business of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta participated in the Mobility Program 2025 in Vietnam as part of their efforts to strengthen their global competencies, understanding of the creative industry, and understanding the startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia. The program was implemented during an academic visit to Ho Chi Minh City, with the main agenda being visits to two leading institutions, InBold and the Startup & Innovation Hub of Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB). The activity aimed to broaden students' horizons regarding the development of the creative industry, technology, strategic communication, and opportunities for international collaboration.

The visit to InBold discussed the Global Communications Industry and Creative Production. InBold is a communications and creative content company operating globally. Students gained exposure to the working processes of the modern communications industry, the development of brand strategies and digital storytelling, the use of AI in large-scale content production, and the work structure of international teams in the creative and media fields. Students also interacted directly with the InBold team to understand how international companies work in managing global campaigns for various clients from different industries. Discussion sessions and company tours provided new insights into professional work standards, career opportunities, and the dynamics of the creative industry across countries.

During a visit to the Startup & Innovation Hub of Ho Chi Minh City (SIHUB), students were introduced to Vietnam's innovation and startup ecosystem, one of the fastest-growing in Southeast Asia. They gained insights into the government's role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, startup incubation and acceleration programs, technology and research support for young founders, and opportunities for international academic and business collaboration. Students also participated in presentations on technological developments, new business opportunities, and how SIHUB serves as a bridge for local startups to penetrate the global market.

This global competency strengthening program is a concrete step in enhancing student experience through visits to international companies and innovation centers in Vietnam. Students are expected to understand the development of creative industry trends and startups, develop critical thinking and international insight, establish global networks for academic and career opportunities, and increase competitiveness in the era of globalization. The 2025 Student Mobility Program is expected to be the first step towards more collaboration between UIN Jakarta, educational institutions in Vietnam, and global companies such as InBold and SIHUB. Through direct field experience, students not only learn theory but also understand the real-world practices of the international workplace. (AH)
