The material he conveyed was related to research gaps and novelty. He explained the first way to find research ideas is to determine the field to be studied. Finding ideas can also be through seminal papers, current papers, shortcuts, and calls for papers. For research gaps and novelties, the writer can find gaps in the research area, for example data/result inconsistencies in previous studies. It could be that there are other variables that have been forgotten, so it could be novelty. The material presented by Prof. Doddy Setiawan received positive responses from postgraduate students. Based on the survey conducted, 72% of participants stated that they were very satisfied, 22% were satisfied, and 6% were quite satisfied.
