Accounting Heroine 2025: Kailla Kamilla Azahra, Wins National Taekwondo Gold
South Tangerang – Another proud achievement was achieved by a student in the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Kailla Kamilla Azahra, a young taekwondo athlete from Haurgeulis District, Indramayu Regency, won a gold medal at the 2026 "Perang Bintang 2" National Taekwondo Championship.
Kailla, known as Kaila, is the first daughter of Solehudin Zuhri and Lisnawati. Born in Haurgeulis, Indramayu Regency, on May 26, 2007, Kaila is known as a disciplined, diligent, and driven individual with a strong desire to achieve. Kaila is currently enrolled in the Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Class of 2025. Despite her busy schedule, she remains committed to taekwondo, a sport she has been involved in since junior high school.
This achievement came at the "Perang Bintang 2" National Taekwondo Championship, held at the Kelapa Dua Indoor Stadium in South Tangerang, Banten, on June 26–28, 2026. In the championship, which featured athletes from various regions across Indonesia, Kaila won a gold medal in the Women's Semi-Achievement Kyorugi event. This success is the result of disciplined training, hard work, and years of commitment. Amidst the academic demands of university, Kaila has proven that athletic achievement and education can go hand in hand.

For Kaila, college and sports are not two conflicting choices. Instead, they serve as a means to develop character, discipline, responsibility, and a winning mentality. This passion has led her to become one of the young athletes who has successfully brought honor to her region at the national level.
The "Perang Bintang 2" Championship itself is an event that brings together the best taekwondo athletes from various regions in Indonesia. The intense competition did not dampen Kaila's enthusiasm to perform at her best and deliver the best results.

Kaila's achievements are proof that young people from the region have great potential to compete at the national level if supported by family, coaches, and a positive environment. As an Accounting student, she also serves as an example that young people can achieve balanced achievements in both academics and sports.
Kaila's gold medal is not just a victory in a competition, but a symbol of the hard work, discipline, and dedication of Indramayu's young generation. From Haurgeulis, she proves that big dreams can be realized through perseverance and an unyielding spirit.
