Jakarta, Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Field, more than 1,000 employees attended the 80th Anniversary Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia. The ceremony, led directly by the Rector, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, MA., PhD, was conducted with solemnity, featuring the raising of the red-and-white flag by 57 flag-raising teams (Paskibra) from UIN Jakarta.
In his address, the Rector urged all ceremony participants to express gratitude for Independence Day by doing their best for the Indonesian nation. “While praying for our independence heroes, we must also fill the 80 years of Indonesia’s independence by doing our best for our country,” said the Rector. Ceremony participants, dressed in various traditional batik attire, ethnic costumes, white and black shirts, KORPRI uniforms, and students, enthusiastically followed the proceedings of the ceremony.
As is customary in every Independence Day ceremony, service medals were awarded to civil servants who have served the Indonesian nation for X, XX, or XXX years. This time, 29 staff members from the Faculty of Economics and Business received service medals for X, XX, or XXX years of service. The 29 staff members, both lecturers and educational staff, are:
