Jakarta, October 27, 2025. The Development Economics Study Program together with the Sharia Banking Master's Program held an academic writing workshop by inviting researcher Pihri Buhaerah from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) in the theater room on the 5th floor of the FEB building on Jalan Ibnu Sina. The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Sofyan Rizal, accompanied by the Head and Secretary of the Development Economics Study Program, Arief Fitrijanto and Tini Anggraeni, and the Head and Secretary of the Sharia Banking Master's Program, Muhajirin and Ady Cahyadi. It was attended by all students of the Development Economics study program and Sharia Banking Master's students. The event was held in a hybrid format using Zoom.
In his speech representing the dean, Sofyan Rizal conveyed the importance of the academic writing workshop in increasing the number of students who graduate on time. “This workshop is important for students to find ideas for their final assignments, both for their undergraduate and master's theses. This activity is also expected to encourage students to graduate on time,” said Sofyan Rizal.
In his presentation, Pihri explained how to find ideas. “There are three ways to find ideas for writing (theses or dissertations). From lectures, from current issues, and from replication & extension,” said Pihri to the students. Pihri also explained how to formulate good research questions so that theses can be started correctly.
The academic writing workshop took place over two days from October 27–28, 2025. (AC)
