Discussing Good Amil Governance, Umiyati Earns Doctorate in Islamic Banking
Jakarta, January 8, 2026. Umiyati, Secretary of the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, earned her Doctorate in Islamic Banking after completing her open defense at the Doctoral Study Program in Islamic Banking, Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Umiyati successfully defended her dissertation entitled “The Influence of Sharia Audit Practices and Good Amil Governance on Public Accountability: An Analysis of Financial Reporting Quality and Strategies for Improving Effectiveness in Zakat Management Organizations in Indonesia” before a panel consisting of Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia, M.Ag., Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si., Dr. Rini, M.Si., Rahmawati, PhD., Dr. Erika Amelia, M.Si., Prof. Nur Hidayah, PhD., and Rizqon Halal Syah Aji, PhD.
Umiyati became the 11th lecturer with a doctoral degree in the Sharia Banking Study Program at FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The Head of the Sharia Banking Study Program, Yuke Rahmawati, congratulated one of her lecturers on her success. "Congratulations on the doctoral degree achieved by Mrs. Umiyati. May this doctoral degree serve as motivation to become a dedicated role model in advancing Islamic finance and banking in Indonesia,” Yuke added.
