Entrepreneur Learning Center (ELC) conducted a Company Visit to PT Yakult Indonesia Persada

On Wednesday, June 19, 2025, the LSO Entrepreneur Learning Center (ELC) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, held a Company Visit to PT Yakult Indonesia Persada. This activity took place from 06.00 WIB to 15.50 WIB. The main purpose of this activity is as a means of direct learning from the industrial world, especially in understanding marketing strategies and national-scale company management systems.
This activity was held against the backdrop of LSO ELC's commitment as a forum for developing student entrepreneurship to continue to improve the quality of human resources and organizations through innovative and educational programs. This Company Visit is one concrete form of this effort. We express our gratitude to God Almighty for the smooth running of this activity. We also convey prayers and greetings to the Prophet Muhammad SAW who is a role model in all aspects of life, including in seeking knowledge and trying in this world.
The purpose of this activity is to increase students' insight regarding marketing strategies and company management, as well as provide new experiences in managing organizations. In addition, this activity is expected to open up horizons of thought and create new innovations in the business sector, as well as provide inspiration to the next ELC management in designing creative and solution-oriented programs. Through this visit, it is also expected to create a long-term partnership between ELC and the company.

The activity began with a departure from campus to the company's location in the industrial area. Upon arrival at PT Yakult Indonesia Persada, participants were greeted warmly by the company and directed to the presentation room. The event began with a speech from a company representative, then continued with a presentation of material on the company's history and vision, the Yakult production process, the marketing strategies implemented, and product distribution in the Indonesian market. After the presentation session, participants were invited to take a company tour, where they could see firsthand the Yakult production and packaging process which is carried out hygienically and modernly.

In the discussion session, participants showed high enthusiasm by asking several critical and in-depth questions. One of the questions asked was about the patent for bacteria and Yakult packaging. The company explained that they use Lactobacillus casei Shirota strain, a strain of bacteria that has been scientifically selected and patented. In addition, Yakult packaging uses food grade plastic which is also protected by intellectual property rights. Another question related to the reason behind the launch of the mango flavored Yakult variant. The company answered that it was an innovative strategy in responding to consumer demand, especially from the children and adolescent segments, without changing the main content of its products.
This activity was closed with gratitude from ELC to PT Yakult Indonesia Persada for the welcome and knowledge provided. From this activity, participants gained new insights into direct practice in the business world, especially in the field of marketing and management of the functional beverage industry. This Company Visit not only increases students' knowledge and experience, but also expands the network and relations between educational institutions and the business world.
With the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that it can be the first step in forming a young generation who has an innovative, adaptive spirit, and is ready to compete in the world of work. In addition, this activity is expected to be able to encourage ELC to continue to develop and create programs that are beneficial to students, faculties, universities, and the wider community. (ah)
