FEB Students Participate in FERBI (Indonesian Sovereign Rupiah Festival) 2026
South Tangerang, August 16, 2026. The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta participated in the 2026 Indonesian Sovereign Rupiah Festival (FERBI), organized by Bank Indonesia at Istora Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Sunday (August 16, 2026). Carrying the theme "Sovereign Rupiah, Dignified Indonesia," the event served as an educational platform for the public—including university students—regarding the role and significance of the Rupiah as both legal tender and a symbol of the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

The event was attended by 55 FEB UIN Jakarta students alongside members of the New Generation Indonesia (GENBI) community. They were accompanied by three lecturers: Dr. Asyari Hasan, M.Ag., CM. (Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation), Dr. Ahmad Firdaus, M.M., and Dr. Wulan Rahmawati, S.E., M.Sc. The group departed from Ciputat at 10:00 WIB for the venue to complete registration before joining the FERBI program lineup.

Throughout the event, FEB and GENBI students participated in a variety of educational and interactive activities presented by Bank Indonesia, ranging from exhibitions, talk shows, and learning classes to other interactive sessions focused on Rupiah management and usage. The accompanying lecturers ensured that all students participated in the activities in an orderly manner until the closing ceremony in the afternoon, prior to the group's return to Ciputat.
Participation in FERBI 2026 is expected to broaden the insights of FEB and GENBI students regarding Bank Indonesia's policies aimed at strengthening public understanding of the Rupiah, while also fostering closer collaboration among universities, Bank Indonesia, and the community to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the Rupiah currency. The entire academic community of FEB UIN Jakarta hopes that this participation will continue to broaden students' understanding of national economic sovereignty and encourage their active involvement in similar educational activities in the future.
