The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta held a Visiting Lecture entitled "Health Topics in Indonesian Economic Research" in Theater Room 2, FEB Campus UIN Jakarta, Thursday (02/05/2024).

The event was moderated by FEB UIN Jakarta Lecturer Shelby Devianti Widodo, M.Sc,. This event invited speakers, namely, Puguh Prasetyo, SE., M.H. Econ. (Researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency).

On this occasion, the speaker explained that health economics is not simply the application of economists' tools to the field of health or certain medical services, but is a separate intellectual tradition that discusses specific issues (such as the nature of demand for health services or demand for health insurance) and develops specific issues for overcome this problem.

"People actually don't want health/medical services, what they want is improved health, health/medical services, among other things, are input to produce health," said Puguh.
At the end of the event, a question and answer session was opened between the resource person and the students who took part in the visiting lecture activity and souvenirs were handed over to the resource person.
