FEB's Sharia Investment Gallery (GIS) holds Sharia Capital Market School (SCMS) 2025
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the Sharia Capital Market School (SCMS) 2025 event was held with the theme "Increasing Financial Literacy through the Sharia Capital Market in the Gen-Z Era". SCMS is an activity in the form of a seminar held in five departments at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. It began with welcoming remarks and the symbolic opening of SCMS 2025. Then continued with the delivery of materials. At this event, participants were equipped with knowledge related to literacy and knowledge about finance and capital markets.
The event began at 08.30 WIB with the participant registration process by members of the Sharia Investment Gallery (GIS). The series of activities were officially opened by the Master of Ceremony, Glis Aisyahr ani and Fahril Fadhil, followed by the reading of Kalam llahi by Ade Ismail Ahmad, and singing the song Indonesia Raya guided by Syahidah Aulia Putri. Speeches were given by the Chief Executive, Marwan Maulana; General Chairperson of GIS, Fajri Ananda; GIS FEB UIN Jakarta Advisor, Dr. Indo Yama S.E., M.A.B. The event continued with a group photo session.
Entering the core session, the seminar was divided into two sessions. The first session was moderated by Ghaitsa Rahman Karim who guided speakers from the Financial Services Authority, Rijo Fathul Bari; IDX Islamic, Wildon Syuruq; Indonesian Clearing and Guarantee Corporation, Mohamad Farhan Fawwaz; Securities Investor Protection Fund, Ririh Asih Priyahita. The materials presented included financial intelligence, introduction to the sharia capital market, investor protection, and structures and services in the Indonesian capital market. This session was closed with a question and answer session for participants, then continued with the presentation of certificates by the Chief Executive, Marwan Maulana.
The second session was moderated by Angga Yudistira and presented a single resource person, Muhammad Akbar Pamungkas from Phillip Sekuritas Indonesia. He presented material on investment concepts, types of capital market instruments, such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds, as well as a guide to opening an investment account through the POEMS application. The material aims to equip participants with the basics of investment and the importance of an active role in early financial management. This session was also closed with an interactive Q&A session and the presentation of certificates to the speakers and moderators by the Deputy Chairperson of the Executive, namely Radief Chesta Aqila.
As a closing, the prayer was again led by Ade Ismail Ahmad, and the event was officially closed by the MC at 13.25 WIB. Through SCMS 2025, it is hoped that participants and all administrators of the FEB UIN Jakarta Sharia Investment Gallery for the 2024/2025 period will be able to improve financial literacy, play an active role in the development of sharia investment, and help build an inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable sharia capital market ecosystem.
