Jakarta, September 19, 2026 — The Sharia Investment Gallery (GIS) of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held the election process for the GIS FEB UIN Jakarta Chairperson for the 2026/2027 term, as part of the organization's leadership succession and sustainability efforts. This event served as a platform for all GIS members to share ideas, engage in discussions, and determine the organization's leadership direction for the upcoming term.
The event began with an opening by the Masters of Ceremony (MCs), Melva Firdhian Nabillah and Rizqi Amalia, followed by the singing of the national anthem, *Indonesia Raya*, led by Efran Muhammad Yuspa. Remarks were then delivered by the incumbent GIS FEB UIN Jakarta Chairperson, Fadli Firzatillah, and the GIS FEB UIN Jakarta Advisor, Dr. Ir. Roikhan Mochammad Aziz, MM.
The Vice Dean III of FEB UIN Jakarta also conveyed a message regarding the importance of succession and student leadership for organizational sustainability. He emphasized that the election process is not merely about selecting a leader, but also serves as a moment to build an organizational culture that is collaborative and responsible, and capable of making tangible contributions to both the campus community and the public. He expressed hope that the 2026/2027 GIS FEB UIN Jakarta leadership team would carry forward the positive aspects of the previous administration while introducing new innovations relevant to student development and the capital market landscape.
Moving to the main agenda, candidates for the GIS FEB UIN Jakarta Chairperson (2026/2027 term) underwent a "Fit and Proper Test." This stage was designed to assess their capabilities, organizational understanding, and readiness to shoulder the responsibilities of leadership. Following this session, the event continued with feedback from the GIS advisors, Dr. Ir. Roikhan Mochammad Aziz, MM and Dr. ... Indo Yama, S.E., M.A.B.
Next, the candidates for General Chairperson participated in a debate session covering four key topics: GIS and Organizational Affairs, Bureaucracy & Stakeholders, Academic/Scholarly Matters, and a Pitching of Ideas. This session served as a platform for candidates to present the views, ideas, and strategies they intend to implement while leading GIS FEB UIN Jakarta in the upcoming term.
The series of activities continued with a Q&A session involving alumni and GIS staff, followed by a break for prayers and lunch. Afterward, all participants took part in the Grand Deliberation (Musyawarah Besar/Mubes) as part of the organization's decision-making process. The election phase proceeded with the voting for the GIS FEB UIN Jakarta General Chairperson, followed by the vote-counting process.
Towards the end of the event, a brief farewell session was held to reflect on and conclude the tenure of the previous leadership team. Subsequently, the election results were announced, naming the General Chairperson of GIS FEB UIN Jakarta for the 2026/2027 term; this was followed by a speech from the newly elected Chairperson, outlining their initial vision and commitment to fulfilling the leadership mandate.
The event concluded with a prayer led by Mr. Muhamad Syaiful Ridwan, followed by closing remarks from the MC. Through this election process, GIS FEB UIN Jakarta aims to continue its leadership succession in a democratic and transparent manner, grounded in a spirit of togetherness, as it moves into the new term.
