GIS Holds 2026 Gallery Investment Forum Addressing Global Economic Issues, Investor Protection, and Sharia Investment Trends
Ciputat, May 20, 2026. Harun Nasution Auditorium, GIS News, Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta – The Sharia Investment Gallery (GIS) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, successfully held the 2026 Gallery Investment Forum at the Harun Nasution Auditorium. This event was the culmination of the 2026 Smart Investment Series (SIS), which focused on strengthening capital market and investment literacy for the younger generation.
The 2026 Gallery Investment Forum is part of the 2026 Smart Investment Series (SIS), which consists of four investment education programs: (SPMS) 1, (SPMS) 2, and (MAS).
Themed "All Time High: New Economic Order," this event featured a panel discussion forum that addressed global economic developments and the Indonesian capital market, strengthening investor protection, the importance of financial literacy, and trends in sharia investment and ethical finance for the younger generation.
The event was attended by Fadli Firzatillah, Chairman of the Sharia Investment Gallery of the Faculty of Economics and Business, State Islamic University of Jakarta; Dr. Indo Yama, S.E., M.A.B., Advisor to the Sharia Investment Gallery of the Faculty of Economics and Business, State Islamic University of Jakarta; Dr. Sofyan Rizal, S.E., M.Si., Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Economics and Business, State Islamic University of Jakarta; and a speech by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., Vice Rector I of UIN Jakarta for Academic Affairs.
In the first session, titled "Economic and Investment Outlook," participants received a presentation from Heidy Ruswita Sari, Acting Head of the Research Division of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), regarding macroeconomic conditions and the foundations of the Indonesian capital market amidst global uncertainty. The material presented addressed global economic challenges, ranging from geopolitical tensions and global inflation to financial market volatility that influence the movement of the national capital market.
This session also featured Dian Kurniasarie, Head of the Corporate Strategy and Risk Management Division of PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI), who discussed the importance of stability, investor protection, and the role of capital market infrastructure in creating a safe and efficient investment ecosystem. Her presentation also explained KSEI's strategic role as a securities depository and settlement institution in the Indonesian capital market.
In the second session, titled "Building the Future of Investment: Regulation, Ethics, and Inclusive Growth," Rija Fathul Bari from the Banten Provincial Financial Services Authority (OJK) Office discussed the importance of capital market regulation and supervision in maintaining financial system stability and protecting investors amidst the development of the digital economy and the increasing participation of young investors. This session also highlighted the importance of financial literacy and vigilance against illicit financial activities.
Meanwhile, Hidayatulloh, S.H.I., M.H., Ph.D., from the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI), presented on ethical finance and sharia investment trends for future generations. The session discussed the principles of sharia investment, ESG, sharia stocks, sukuk, and the challenges of developing financial technology from a sharia perspective.
Dr. Asyari Hasan, M.Ag., CM., Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta, stated that the 2026 Gallery Investment Forum is part of FEB UIN Jakarta's commitment to supporting the strengthening of investment literacy and developing students who are adaptive to global economic dynamics.
He also directed the dissemination of reporting forms and mentoring for PSGA UIN Jakarta to raise awareness of preventing sexual violence on campus and to create a safe and comfortable academic environment for the academic community.
Through the 2026 Gallery Investment Forum, GIS FEB UIN Jakarta hopes that students will improve their understanding of capital markets, investment risk management, and the importance of rational, ethical, and sustainable investment decision-making. This activity also provides a space for educational collaboration between academics, regulators, capital market practitioners, and students to strengthen the financial literacy of Indonesia's younger generation.(ah)
