Harmonization with Industry, Sharia Economics Study Program Holds Company Visit to Otsuka Sukabumi

Sukabumi, August 6, 2025 The Sharia Economics Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, conducted an industry visit (company visit) as part of efforts to align academic programs with industry needs. This company visit was held at PT. Amerta Indah Otsuka, located in Sukabumi, West Java. The company visit delegation consisted of students accompanied by faculty members from the Islamic Economics program. 
In his opening remarks, Dedy Suryadi, Head of the Production Department at PT. Amerta Otsuka Indonesia, emphasized that students must be prepared to anticipate the rapid pace of technological change. “You (students) must adapt well to technological changes. Nowadays, factories are already using machinery based on the Internet of Things,” said Dedy. In line with Dedy, Ali Rama, Head of the Islamic Economics Program, expressed pride and gratitude to Otsuka for the warm reception and valuable experience provided to the students. “We are grateful to Otsuka Indonesia for welcoming us and providing our students with a valuable experience. This is a valuable asset for us and the students to align the knowledge learned on campus with industry needs," said Ali Rama.  
The company visit event included a video presentation, a factory tour, and a group photo session attended by all participants. (AC)
