Hemmi Fauzan: Quality Human Resources and Technological Literacy Will Increase the Competitiveness of MSMEs

Jakarta, September 25, 2025 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contribute more than 60% of Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In addition, MSMEs are also able to absorb a large workforce and reduce unemployment in Indonesia. Among the many expectations for MSME growth, it turns out that MSMEs also face obstacles, ranging from capital constraints, low quality of human resources, to difficulties in accessing markets.
Based on these data and facts, Hemmi Fauzan, a lecturer in the management study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, stated the need to improve the quality of human resources and technological literacy to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs. “High-quality human resources coupled with technological literacy will increase the competitiveness of Indonesian MSMEs,” said Hemmi at the P3AKN Goes To Campus event held in the theater room on the 5th floor of the FEB Building on Jalan Ibnu Sina.
The event, which was held thanks to the collaboration between FEB and the Expertise Agency of the House of Representatives (BK DPR), was attended by the Head of the P3AKN Center of BK DPR RI, the Dean, vice deans, lecturers, and students of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. (AC)
