Tangerang, May 7, 2026. Ali Rama, PhD, Head of the Islamic Economics Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, served as a judge at the Banten Regional Islamic Economics Olympiad. This event is part of the Sharia Festival Jawara (Shafara) 2026 series organized by the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Banten Province.
“My participation as a judge in the Islamic economics olympiad at Shafara 2026 is a tangible manifestation of the contribution of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta toward enhancing literacy and the development of Islamic finance and banking in Banten Province,” said Ali Rama.

This competition was attended by representatives from high schools and Islamic high schools located in Banten. The semifinals took place on May 6–7, 2026, while the finals will be held on May 23, 2026, at BXchange Mall in Bintaro, South Tangerang.
Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si, stated that the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Jakarta is committed to improving financial literacy among the general public, including high school students. “We certainly feel a calling to commit and contribute to enhancing financial literacy and the inclusion of Islamic banking in Indonesia, including high school students in the province of Banten. “It is an honor for us that the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Banten Province invited FEB to participate in the Shafara 2026 event,” said Sofyan Rizal.
In the final round on May 23, Ali Rama, PhD, will continue to serve as a judge for the Islamic economics competition alongside other judges. (AC)
