Jakarta, November 26, 2025. To improve Sharia banking literacy among students, the Sharia Banking study program held a book review of “Sharia Governance and Risk Management in Sharia Banks.” The book, written by Dr. Setiawan Budi Utomo, Lc., MM, was discussed with the professor of Islamic economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Euis Amalia, M.Ag, with Ade Ananto, who is also the secretary of the Islamic banking study program, as the moderator.

The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sofyan Rizal, M.Si. In his speech, Sofyan Rizal said that this event was important to broaden students' knowledge about the governance of an Islamic bank. “Thank you to the speakers for attending today. This book is very interesting to read to learn more about the governance of Islamic banks in Indonesia,” said Sofyan.

In his presentation, Setiawan Budi Utomo said that the book contains comprehensive insights into Islamic banking. “This book covers Islamic governance, the role of the Sharia supervisory board, internal and external audits, risk management, and the implementation of governance in industry practice,” said Setiawan.
