Inquiring about Financing and Risk Management, Students of Islamic Banking Study Program Visit DJPPR Ministry of Finance
Jakarta, 24 July 2025 - Sharia Banking Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business UIN Jakarta held a company visit to the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. This activity was attended by dozens of students accompanied by supervisors from the Sharia Banking Study Program.
The event was opened by Dr. Yuke Rahmawati, MA as the Head of FEB UIN Jakarta's Sharia Banking Study Program, who expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to learn directly from DJPPR and the importance of synergy between academics and practitioners in supporting the improvement of Islamic financial literacy among students. “Alhamdulillah, we are very happy to be able to visit the DJPPR Ministry of Finance, we hope that this visit will be part of the synergy between academics and practitioners and encourage the literacy of our students in managing Sharia-based financing,” said Yuke.
In line with Yuke, Plt. Head of the Communication and Information Services Section of the DJPPR Secretariat, Wawan Sugiyarto, welcomed this visit as part of DJPPR's efforts to encourage information disclosure and expand public education, especially among the younger generation. He also hoped that this visit could foster students' interest in state financing issues. “It is a pleasure to receive the visit of the students, we hope that with this visit the students will be interested in state financing issues such as sukuk or other state financing,” said Wawan.
Furthermore, the presentation from DJPPR, Muhammad Jamaludin as the Head of State Financial Analysis, Junior Expert in the Task of State Financial Financing and Risk, Director of Sharia Financing, DJPPR, explained the strategic role of SBSN in national development. In his presentation, he explained that until May 2025, SBSN has financed more than 7,000 infrastructure projects in various sectors such as education, transportation, and the environment, with a total outstanding of Rp1,700 trillion. He also highlighted the role of SBSN as a fiscal instrument that is in line with sharia principles and supports sustainable development financing. This meeting is expected to strengthen the synergy between the academic world and government institutions in creating capable and fiscally aware human resources.
