Jaharuddin Becomes the 38th Doctor with a dissertation on the Dynamics of Waqf Management at BWI DK Jakarta and BWI Lampung

On Monday, June 23, 2025, the Sharia Banking Doctoral Program in the Faculty of Economics and Business, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, held an open doctoral defense in the Postgraduate Meeting Room, Building I, FEB, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta.
On this occasion, Professor Jaharuddin presented the results of his dissertation research, entitled "Dynamics of Waqf Management at the Jakarta Islamic Boarding School and Lampung Islamic Boarding School."

He was presented before a panel of examiners chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur Rianto Al Arif, M.Si.

During the defense, Jaharuddin was asked to provide a 15-minute summary of his dissertation, followed by a session for responses and rebuttals from the examiners.
The defense was also attended by the examining team: Promoter Prof. Dr. H.M. Amin Suma, SH., MA., MM, and Co-Promoter I Prof. Ir. Muhamad Nadratuzzaman Hosen, MS. Mec. Ph.D.,
Co-Promoter II Prof. Nur Hidayah, Ph.D., Examiner I Prof. Dr. Ade Sofyan Mulazid S.Ag., M.H., Examiner II Dr. Nofrianto, M.Ag., and Expert Examiner Prof. Dr. Andry Priharta, M.M.

The Postgraduate examination room that afternoon was filled with a tense atmosphere mixed with enthusiasm. Facing a row of examiners with professorial and doctoral degrees, Promovendus Jaharuddin stepped forward steadily, opening his presentation with a calm yet confident voice. Slide after slide was neatly presented, presenting the results of the research entitled "Dynamics of Waqf Management at the Jakarta and Lampung BWI" with a coherent flow, strong evidence, and sharp analysis. The examiners appeared focused, occasionally nodding, indicating their appreciation for the depth of the material presented.
Entering the question-and-answer session, the atmosphere became increasingly lively. Jaharuddin answered the examiners' questions without hesitation, each answer structured, straightforward, and accompanied by easy-to-understand explanations. There was no room for confusion; instead, each response enriched the discussion and demonstrated a thorough grasp of the research he was working on. Applause concluded the session, accompanied by a unanimous decision: Promovendus Jaharuddin was declared to have passed with honors and was entitled to hold a Doctorate in Islamic Banking, concluding one chapter of his academic journey.
