South Tangerang, June 20, 2026 – The Accounting Student Association (HMPS Akuntansi) of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized the KOMPAS (Social Accounting & Psychology Student Collaboration) 2026 event, themed "Sharing Stories with the Energy of Kindness: Coloring Smiles for Today and Tomorrow."

KOMPAS is a program initiated by the Social Affairs and Strategic Studies Department (SOSKASTRAT). It aims to teach children the importance of using the words "sorry," "please," and "thank you" in daily life, help them cultivate politeness and empathy, and introduce the habit of saving money from an early age through a creative activity involving the creation of piggy banks from used bottles. Through this event, HMPS Akuntansi
strives to heighten students' social awareness regarding the community while fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration between psychology and social accounting students to create activities that benefit the surrounding environment.

The event began with a group exercise session led by the organizing committee to warm up and energize the atmosphere, ensuring the children were enthusiastic about the upcoming activities. Afterward, a presentation on the "3 Magic Words" (sorry, please, and thank you) was delivered by the speaker. This session provided the children with an understanding

of the meaning, context, and positive impact of using these three words in daily social interactions. The session continued with a role-play activity guided by the committee, where children were encouraged to practice using "sorry," "please," and "thank you" firsthand through simulations, making the learning process interactive and enjoyable. The event then proceeded to a break for prayer, rest, and meals (ISHOMA) for all participants and committee members.

Following the break, the event resumed with games and creative activities led by the organizing committee. During the session, the children were invited to create piggy banks from used bottles—a creative medium to introduce the habit of saving money from an early age. This activity not only fostered the children's creativity and fine motor skills but also instilled basic financial literacy values ​​in a practical and enjoyable way. The session concluded with a reflection led by the organizing committee, where the children shared their impressions and thoughts about the event, thereby building their self-confidence and the courage to express their opinions in public. The event was officially closed by the MC, followed by a heartwarming farewell between the organizers and the children.

The entire series of activities proceeded smoothly, in an orderly fashion, and in a warm, family-like atmosphere. Participant enthusiasm was evident from start to finish, marked by the children's active participation in every session—whether during the presentation of material, role-playing, or the creative piggy bank-making activity. The collaboration between psychology and accounting students was highly effective, demonstrated by their complementary roles in supporting and guiding the children throughout the event.

Through the well-planned and systematic execution of KOMPAS, the Accounting Student Association (HMPS) and the Psychology Student Executive Council (DEMA) successfully imparted a meaningful understanding of the importance of good manners and saving habits to the children, while simultaneously fostering a sense of social responsibility among the students. This activity serves as tangible proof that interdisciplinary collaboration can create holistic, innovative community service programs that positively impact children's character development and strengthen the role of students in society.
