Jakarta, November 27, 2025. The Master of Sharia Economics Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, held a visiting lecture with Dr. Liez Zulfati, M.Si, who is also the Vice Chair of STIE Indonesia. The theme of this visiting lecture was “Sharia Governance Framework: Challenges, Implementation, and Its Impact on Sharia Financial Accountability.” 
The event was moderated by Fadhlillah Fauzukhaq, who is also the secretary of the Master of Sharia Economics program. The event was attended by lecturers and students of the Master of Sharia Economics program. In his presentation, Liez Zulfati conveyed the current position of Indonesia's Sharia banking and finance in the global arena. “Based on the GIEI Score, Indonesia's Sharia finance and banking ranks 3rd globally,” said Liez to the participants. Liez also added a theoretical framework in corporate governance. “The grand theory in corporate governance consists of agency theory, stewardship theory, stakeholder theory, institutional theory, and resource dependence theory,” added Liez.
