Prof. Dr. Desmadi Saharuddin, M.A.
Prof. Dr. Desmadi Saharuddin, M.A., is a Professor of Mu’amalah at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, specializing in Islamic Studies, particularly Islamic Economics and Islamic Insurance (Takaful). He teaches various courses including Principles of Islamic Economics, Introduction to Islamic Economics, Islamic Business Law, Islamic Studies, Islamic Business Ethics, and Islamic Financial Institutions.
His scholarly works and publications include books such as The Application of Islamic Finance and the Economic System of the Ottoman Empire, Compensation Payment in Islamic Insurance, and Innovation of Islamic Insurance in Europe: Breakthroughs for Muslim Minority Communities.
He has also served as a reviewer for the Journal of Islamic Marketing (2021) and has authored publications in nationally indexed and internationally recognized journals. His research and training experience cover topics such as compliance in Islamic banking at the officer level, as well as the development of teaching methods through Project Market Research (PMR) and Rubrics.
His expertise and publications have established him as a prominent reference figure in the field of Islamic Economics and Islamic Insurance in Indonesia.
