Bandung, May 16, 2026 – The Management Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully hosted a Practitioner Lecture titled “PRACTITIONER LECTURE: Charting the Future of Business Through Ecopreneurship & Sustainability.” This event was held as a concrete response to the global urgency regarding future business models that not only pursue profitability but also balance environmental sustainability and social justice for society (People, Planet, Profit).

Amid the challenges of climate change and massive environmental degradation, the concept of sustainable business has now evolved from a mere corporate trend into a strategic imperative for the future. This practitioner-led course is specifically designed to bridge academic management theories with real-world industry action, featuring leaders from state-owned enterprises and prominent environmental practitioners who have successfully integrated sustainability values into both micro- and macro-scale business operations.

This series of events is divided into three comprehensive sessions that explore the sustainability ecosystem—from macro-level policy and logistics management to digital technology-driven circular commercialization, with the speaker: Dr. Prasabri Pesti, MBA and Def Afuww Wildan Everest from PT. “Is material gain alone enough when the Earth and society are the ones who must bear the consequences? In this era of transformation, students in the Management Program must be equipped with a new paradigm: that a good business is one that is capable of protecting our shared home—the Earth,” said Murdiyah Hayati, Chair of the Management Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Jakarta. Through this cross-sector collaboration, it is hoped that students will be able to take small steps from the academic sphere to create a significant impact on the future of Indonesia’s green economy.
