Sharia Capital Market School X HMPS Akuntansi “From Literacy to Ethical Action: A School for Young Investors”

South Tangerang, July 1, 2026, the Sharia Investment Gallery, Faculty of Economics and Business, State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta, in collaboration with the Accounting Student Association (HMPS), successfully held the 2026 Sharia Capital Market School (SCMS) at Theater 1, Faculty of Economics and Business, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta). This event was part of the larger Sharia Capital Market Week (SCMW) 2026 series, themed "From Literacy to Ethical Action: A School for Young Investors."

The 2026 Sharia Capital Market School (SCMS) was held as a learning platform to improve students' literacy and understanding of the Islamic capital market, particularly for Accounting students. Through this activity, participants are expected to understand the concept of Islamic investment, manage their finances more wisely, and develop a responsible perspective in making financial decisions in accordance with Sharia principles in the increasingly dynamic era of the financial industry.

The event began at 9:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time with participant registration by members of the Sharia Investment Gallery (GIS). The event was officially opened by the Master of Ceremonies and began with a series of ceremonies including a recitation of the Divine Word by Muhammad Raffa Khairu, the singing of Indonesia Raya and the UIN Hymn led by Najwa Shafiyyah, and remarks from the Chairperson of GIS FEB UIN Jakarta, Fadli Firzatillah; the Chairperson of SCMW 2026, Lutfia Prihandini; and the Chairperson of the Accounting Student Association, Ryan Hary Nugroho. On the occasion, support for the event was also expressed by the Supervisor of GIS FEB UIN Jakarta, Dr. Indo Yama, SE. M.A.B; the Head of the Accounting Study Program, Dr. Fitri Damayanti, SE, M.Si; and the Deputy Dean III of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Dr. Asyari Hasan, M.Ag., CM., as a token of appreciation for the students' efforts in improving Islamic capital market literacy and education in the academic environment.

The core seminar was divided into two sessions, featuring speakers from various strategic institutions in the Indonesian capital market industry, namely the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI), and Phillip Securities Indonesia.

In the first session, moderated by Nurrotul Fuadah, who guided the presentations by Ms. Dwi Safira of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Mr. Al Gifari Hasnul of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), and Mr. Novian Harry of the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI), participants gained insight into the basics of Sharia capital market investment, prudent financial management, the importance of investor protection, and how to recognize and avoid digital financial crimes. Through these three sessions, participants are expected to be able to apply Sharia-compliant investment principles and make smarter and more responsible financial decisions. This was followed by the presentation of certificates by the General Chairperson of GIS FEB UIN Jakarta, Fadli Firzatillah.

The second session, moderated by Salwa Labibah, guided the presentation by Mas Akbar Pamungkas of Philip Securities Indonesia. He presented material on the concept of investing, types of capital market instruments, such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds, as well as a guide to opening an investment account through the POEMS ID application. The material aimed to equip participants with the basics of investing and the importance of taking an active role in financial management from an early age. The session concluded with an interactive question and answer session and the presentation of certificates to the speakers and moderator by the Chairman of the Accounting Study Program Student Association, Ryan Hary Nugroho.

The event proceeded interactively through discussion and Q&A sessions between participants and the speakers. The participants' enthusiasm was also evident in the various educational sessions organized by the committee to create an active and collaborative learning atmosphere.

To conclude, a prayer was again led by Muhammad Raffa Khairu, and the event was officially closed by the Master of Ceremonies at 12:40 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. Through the 2026 SCMS, the Islamic Investment Gallery of the Faculty of Economics and Business, State Islamic University of Jakarta (UIN Jakarta) hopes that this activity will raise students' awareness of the importance of Islamic investment and financial literacy, while also encouraging the emergence of a financially savvy, adaptive, and integrated young generation to support the development of Indonesia's Islamic capital market.
