Ciputat, 11 June 2024 – Sharia Economics Study Program (Prodi Eksyar) Faculty of Economics and Business, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta held an inaugural meeting to coordinate preparations for Lamemba accreditation. This meeting was attended by nine people consisting of the dean's ranks, the Head of the Sharia Economics Study Program, and Sharia Economics lecturers. This meeting is the first step in efforts to achieve superior accreditation for the Exsyar Study Program.

The meeting was opened by the Chair of the Sharia Economics Study Program, Ali Rama, S.E., M.Ec., Ph.D., who also acts as Chair of the Lamemba Accreditation Team for the Islamic Science Study Program. In his speech, Ali Rama emphasized the importance of thorough preparation to achieve superior accreditation. "This is a crucial moment for all of us. Good preparation will determine our success in achieving superior accreditation," he said.

The meeting session then continued with a presentation from Zuhairan Yunmi Yunan, Ph.D., who highlighted several important criteria for obtaining superior accreditation from Lamemba. "One of the important requirements is the composition of the lecturers in charge of the study program. A minimum of 50% of the lecturers must have a Doctoral degree (Dr.) and a minimum of 60% must have the status of Head Lector, Lector or Professor. Our Extension Study Program has fulfilled this requirement," explained Zuhairan.

Apart from discussing lecturer requirements, the meeting also identified various documents on lecturer activities that could support accreditation. The document collection team presented the results of their work, and through in-depth discussions, various criteria for intellectual contributions to education, research and society were carefully reviewed.

Data on student achievements in academic and non-academic competitions, international and national journal publications, as well as other achievements such as scholarships and participation in international and national conferences are also identified as important points for accreditation.

"Student achievement is one important aspect that can improve our accreditation assessment. Therefore, we must document all these achievements well," said one of the meeting participants.

This meeting resulted in various concrete steps to prepare for superior accreditation, including the preparation of supporting documents and strategies to strengthen each aspect assessed. All meeting participants agreed to work together and contribute maximally to achieve common goals.

With a spirit of togetherness and high commitment, the Sharia Economics Study Program at the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Jakarta, is optimistic that it can achieve superior accreditation from Lamemba. It is hoped that this effort will not only improve the quality of education in the Exyar Study Program, but also make a positive contribution to the development of the sharia economy in Indonesia.
