Sharia Economics Study Program: Practitioners Share Experiences on Corporate Risk Management
Jakarta, 28 May 2024 - The Sharia Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, is proud to organize teaching practitioner activities as an effort to enrich student knowledge, especially in the field of sharia economics. On this occasion, the study program had the opportunity to invite Mr. Mufid Ansori, an experienced risk management practitioner, to talk about "Risk and Risk Management in Sharia Financial Institutions".
Mr. Mufid Ansori, who currently serves as Senior Manager at PT. Centria Integrity Advisory, was the first alumni of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta majoring in management in 2000. With his expertise in the field of risk management, he brings valuable practical experience to students of the sharia economics study program.
This event was hosted by Dr Ady Cahyadi, lecturer at the Sharia Economics Study Program. In a format that combines offline and online, students and lecturers are given the opportunity to interact directly with the main speaker.
One of the messages conveyed by Mr. Mufid Ansori was about the importance of understanding and managing risk in Islamic financial institutions. He emphasized that Islamic financial institutions have unique characteristics that require a special risk management approach, including managing sharia compliance risk, liquidity risk and market risk which is different from conventional financial institutions. A deep understanding of sharia principles and the ability to identify, measure and manage these risks is the key to success for practitioners in this industry.
The Study Program hopes that, through this activity, Sharia Economics students can broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of risk management in the context of Islamic financial institutions.
