Sharia FinTech Lecture, Sharia Economics Students Visit ISEF 2025

Jakarta, October 10, 2025. Students from the Sharia Economics Study Program visited JI Expo Kemayoran for the 11th International Islamic Monetary Economics and Finance Conference (ISEF) and Call for Papers 2025. The theme of this year's ISEF is “The Role of Islamic Economics and Finance in the Era of Digital Transformation, Sustainable Growth and Geopolitical Uncertainty”.
The ISEF 2025 event was opened by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo on Wednesday (10/8/2025).
The ISEF 2025 event was attended by various participants who are stakeholders in the Islamic economy in Indonesia, ranging from the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), halal industry players to Islamic financial technology (Fintech). This major event was well utilized by students of the Sharia Economics Study Program at FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta by visiting the ISEF 2025 event at JI Expo Kemayoran. Rafli, a student of the Sharia Economics study program, said that the visit to ISEF was part of his financial technology course. “I am happy to be able to attend ISEF 2025 at JI Expo Kemayoran because through ISEF 2025, we students can see the booths of Sharia economic stakeholders. We also visited the Sharia Financial Technology Association (AFSI) booth and received a lot of information about Sharia fintech in Indonesia,” said Rafli, who was present with his friends.

In line with Rafli, another student of the Sharia Economics study program, Elsa expressed her delight at being able to attend ISEF 2025. “I am very happy to be able to attend ISEF 2025. In addition to gaining additional knowledge about Sharia economics in Indonesia, especially Sharia Fintech, my friends and I can also enjoy sightseeing in Jakarta,” said Elsa.
Ady Cahyadi, lecturer of Sharia Fintech, said that the ISEF 2025 event at JI Expo was very beneficial for students to increase their knowledge about Sharia economic and financial practices in Indonesia. “The ISEF 2025 event at JI Expo is very beneficial for FEB students, especially those studying Sharia economics, to increase their knowledge about Sharia economic and financial practices both in Indonesia and around the world,” said Ady.
