Supporting Study Acceleration, Sharia Banking Master's Program Holds Program Dialogue
Jakarta, October 1, 2025 One of the postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, namely the Master of Sharia Banking (MPS), held a Program Study Dialogue featuring Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Sofyan Rizal, Program Study Chair Muhajirin, and research methodology lecturer Rizqon Halal Syah Aji. The event, which was held online via Zoom, was attended by students.
In his opening remarks, Sofyan Rizal conveyed the efforts that FEB has made to facilitate student lectures. “FEB continues to strive to assist students in the lecture process, continuously improving academic services to make things easier for students and lecturers,” said Sofyan. In line with Sofyan, MPS Program Chair Muhajirin conveyed the importance of this activity in supporting the acceleration of MPS students' study period. “This dialogue activity is very important for program administrators to monitor the progress of MPS students' study period. We also hope that this dialogue will produce suggestions for improvement for us as program administrators,” said Kyai Muhajirin.
One of the MPS students, Firman Aji, welcomed this online dialogue positively. “We, as students, are very happy to be able to have this kind of dialogue with the faculty and program administrators. We propose that the library service also be open on Saturdays so that we can use it as a reference source in writing our theses,” said Firman enthusiastically. Another MPS student, Ummi, expressed her difficulties in accessing international journals. “I hope FEB can provide international journals, especially those indexed by Scopus, which we can access from our offices or homes,” said Ummi, who plans to graduate on time.
Research methodology lecturer Rizqon Halal Syah Aji expressed his readiness to help students graduate on time. “As a research methodology lecturer, I am always ready to help students create good research proposals to help them graduate on time,” said the lecturer, who is an alumnus of Malaysia.
According to the plan, this program dialogue will be held periodically with the next agenda to be discussed. (AC)
