Synergy to Drive Sharia Economics: KSEI LiSEnSI UIN Jakarta and KSEI KES Banten Successfully Hold Comparative Study Tour Titled "Synergy"

South Tangerang, May 26, 2026 – The Islamic Economics Study Group (KSEI) of the Sharia Economics Study Circle (LiSEnSI) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta successfully held a comparative study tour with the KSEI Sharia Economics Group (KES) of UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin (SMH) Banten. With the overarching theme "Synergy (Strengthening Sharia Economic Generation)," the event was held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Theater of the Postgraduate Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

In line with the theme, the meeting aimed to strengthen the younger generation of sharia economic activists through collaboration between students. This event served as a strategic platform to strengthen ties, exchange organizational experiences, and synergize innovative work programs to address future challenges in the Islamic economy.

The series of events featured two main interactive agendas: an Organizational Discussion Session and a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The Organizational Discussion Session focused on presenting the structure, culture, and innovative work programs of each KSEI, while also providing a platform for mutual learning regarding effective organizational management strategies, cadre development, and optimizing Islamic economic literacy campaign media. Furthermore, through the FGD, participants were divided into several small groups (commissions) based on their respective departments to facilitate a more in-depth exchange of ideas on research, human resource development, networking, and entrepreneurship.

Also in attendance and providing full support for the event was Dr. Asyari Hasan Ak CM, Vice Dean III for Student Affairs at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. He emphasized the importance of student activities oriented towards networking and capacity building. "The faculty greatly appreciates the students' initiative in building cross-campus networks. Through this comparative study, students not only enrich their knowledge and organizational governance skills, but also hone their leadership and collaboration skills, which are crucial assets for the next generation of Islamic economic drivers," stated Dr. Asyari.

The Chairman of KSEI LiSEnSI UIN Jakarta, Johan Luthfi Maulana, in his remarks also expressed his deep appreciation for the enthusiasm of the Banten delegation.

"The presence of our colleagues from KSEI KES UIN Banten is an honor for us. Through the theme 'Synergy,' we hope this comparative study will not simply be a forum for exchanging work programs on paper, but rather a starting point for real collaboration between campuses to strengthen the generation of Islamic economic leaders in the community," he said.

A similar sentiment was expressed by the Chairman of KSEI KES UIN Banten, Muhammad Setiawan Budi, who emphasized the importance of cross-regional synergy. "Today's discussion and FGD provided us with many new insights. The challenges of Islamic economic outreach in Banten and Jakarta certainly have their own characteristics, but through a platform like this, we can complement each other and unite the vision of the younger generation," he said.

The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs from both parties, a group photo session, and a commitment to follow up on the FGD results through strategic partnerships between KSEI at the regional and national levels. KSEI LiSEnSI UIN Jakarta and KSEI KES UIN Banten are committed to continuing to be the epicenter of progressive student ideas and movements in supporting the growth of the Islamic economic ecosystem in Indonesia.(ah)
