The first session featured Dr. Yulianti, M.Si., CGAE., CFA., CPAM., a permanent lecturer in the Accounting Study Program, as the speaker. She discussed research related to internal auditing and accounting in the public sector—covering areas such as government, higher education institutions, and public facilities like churches. Dr. Yulianti provided examples of public sector research, such as studies on Village Funds, and highlighted various other research avenues within the field. Public sector accounting research encompasses both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Dr. Yulianti also emphasized that when exploring ideas, students should focus on research topics rather than simply chasing a title. (akt)
