The Faculty of Economics and Business carried out outreach activities on sexual violence to the FEB LSO

Ciputat, May 13, 2026. To prevent sexual violence on campus, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) conducted a sexual violence outreach program for the Faculty's Student Organizations (LSO) as a commitment to providing a safe space for all members of the academic community, especially students. The event was attended by Dr. Asyari Hasan, M.Ag., CM., Vice Dean III, and Dr. Yessi Fitri, S.E., M.Si.Ak., from the Sexual Violence Crime Task Force (ERTRI) at the Faculty of Economics and Business, as well as representatives from the Semi-Autonomous Institution (LSO) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta).

The anti-sexual violence outreach program for students was conducted as a preventative measure to increase understanding of the forms of sexual violence, reporting mechanisms, and the importance of maintaining ethics and boundaries on campus. Furthermore, discussions were also held regarding excessive dating patterns among students, which are deemed a matter of mutual concern to prevent behavior that violates norms, academic ethics, and the comfort of the campus environment.

Meanwhile, Dr. Yessy Fitri, coordinator of the Anti-Sexual Violence Task Force Team at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta, emphasized that "Students should be aware and concerned about sexual violence on campus. Students must be brave and unafraid to report any sexual violence if they become victims, whether physical or verbal, whether the perpetrator is a fellow student, staff member, or lecturer. All complaints must be kept confidential. The campus must be a welcoming, comfortable, and religious space for everyone, especially us academics. It is our second home, our shared home for life and for achieving the future, and we must be comfortable there."

Furthermore, this activity was held as an evaluation of the implementation of student programs implemented by the LSO FEB. Each activity is expected to be published after the event as a form of documentation, transparency, and dissemination of information to the academic community.

Through this activity, the Vice Dean III hopes that all parties will continue to work together to create a healthy, safe, and conducive campus environment, as well as to raise student awareness of the importance of maintaining social ethics and respecting others. (ah)
