The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held the Academic and Student Culture Introduction (PBAK) for the Class of 2026
Jakarta, August 28, 2026 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held its 2026 Academic and Student Culture Introduction (PBAK) program on Friday, August 28, 2026. Hosted on the FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus, the event served as both a welcoming ceremony and an initial orientation for new students as they embark on their academic and student life.
The opening proceedings began with a prayer, the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and its translation, and the singing of the national anthem, *Indonesia Raya*, and the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta hymn. The event continued with remarks from the Dean of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA.
Subsequently, new students attended a keynote address delivered by Rofyanto Kurniawan, S.T., M.B.A., Ph.D., representing the Ministry of Finance. This session was designed to orient new students regarding strategic economic issues and state financial management.
The agenda proceeded with a keynote address by the Honorable Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Suhartoyo, S.H., M.H. On this occasion, the Chief Justice highlighted the importance of constitutional awareness among students—particularly those in the FEB—who will eventually be active in the fields of economics and development.

The Chief Justice emphasized that economic development and public welfare cannot be separated from the principle of justice. He stated that various development instruments must uphold the rights and the public's sense of justice.
"As FEB students who will engage daily with economic theories, you cannot be separated from the Constitutional Court; the success of development and the prosperity of the Indonesian nation can only be realized if the instruments used to achieve that prosperity do not violate the public's sense of justice." In his address, the Honorable Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia encouraged new students not to fear taking a critical stance on issues concerning the constitution and citizens' rights.
“You need not be afraid. Why? Because what is being championed is the interest of the nation and the state—the interests of all citizens and the community at large.”
Following his keynote speech, the Honorable Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Dr. Suhartoyo, S.H., M.H., symbolically opened the FEB 2026 Academic and Student Culture Introduction (PBAK) by striking a gong. This ceremony marked the official commencement of the FEB 2026 PBAK program and was followed by the presentation of a token of appreciation to the Chief Justice.

After the opening ceremony, the program continued with remarks from the FEB 2026 PBAK Organizing Committee Chair, Taufiqunaufal Annabil, and the Chair of the FEB Student Executive Council (DEMA), Erma Safitri. New students then gained insights into the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) from the team of Vice Deans, covering topics such as academic culture, administration, facilities and infrastructure, student affairs, alumni relations, and institutional partnerships.
The FEB 2026 PBAK also featured sessions relevant to the fields of economics and societal development, including financial literacy and central banking, Sharia financial literacy, and environmental economics and sustainability.

Through the FEB 2026 PBAK, FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta aims to equip new students with academic, economic, national, and constitutional insights, serving as a foundation for their lives as university students and as members of society. (ah)
