The PLP at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Jakarta, in Collaboration with BBPVP Bekasi and TEIN, Holds a Graphic Design Training Program to Prepare Graduates for the Workforce
SOUTH TANGERANG — The Educational Laboratory Unit (PLP) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, in collaboration with the Bekasi Center for Vocational Training and Productivity (BBPVP) and Taksasila Edukasi Insani (TEIN), is organizing a graphic design training program. The program took place from September 28 to October 8, 2026, at the FEB Building on Ibnu Sina Street.
This competency-based training was attended by dozens of participants, including students and faculty members, who were divided into several small classes. Conducted intensively, the program was designed to equip participants with a deep understanding ranging from the basic principles of design to hands-on practice using the latest design software.
Ay Maryani, Chair of the PLP at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UIN Jakarta, stated that this initiative—which is fully supported by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) of the Republic of Indonesia—plays a strategic role in bridging the current needs of the industrial sector.
“This initiative, which is fully supported by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) of the Republic of Indonesia, is expected to provide practical skills—particularly in graphic design—to students so that they graduate ready for the workforce,” said Ay Maryani.
Through a competency-based curriculum covering six core competency units—ranging from applying design principles, formulating concepts, drafting design briefs, creating works, to preparing content for publication—participants are prepared not only to master technical aspects but also to take the Competency Test to obtain official certification.
With the implementation of this training, the Faculty of Economics and Business at UIN Jakarta, BBPVP Bekasi, and Taksasila Edukasi Insani hope to continue making a tangible contribution to developing Indonesian human resources who are creative, competent, highly competitive, and ready to enter the workforce or pursue entrepreneurship.
