On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the School of Investment 2026 was held at the Main Hall of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a total of 407 participants. This event also served as the closing event of the 2026 Sharia Capital Market Week (SCMW) series organized by the Sharia Investment Gallery of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, with the theme "Reading Market Signals in Investment Decisions." Through this activity, participants were encouraged to understand various market indicators and dynamics as a basis for making rational, analytical investment decisions in accordance with Sharia capital market principles.
The event began at 9:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time with participant registration, followed by an opening by the Master of Ceremonies, Ghalih Dwi Prasetio and Salma Sari Qolbi. The opening ceremony included a recitation of the Divine Word and a prayer led by M. Raga Ananda S., followed by the singing of the Indonesian National Anthem, Indonesia Raya, conducted by Callista Fury Facida F. Next, remarks were delivered by the Deputy Chairperson of the Islamic Investment Gallery, FEB UIN Jakarta, A'ini Fathi Wahda; the Advisor of the Islamic Investment Gallery, FEB UIN Jakarta, Dr. Ir. Roikhan Mochamad Aziz; the Deputy Dean III of FEB UIN Jakarta, Dr. Asyari Hasan, M.Ag., CM.; and the Head of the Islamic Capital Market Division of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Irwan Abdalloh. The event then continued with the presentation of plaques to representatives of the Indonesia Stock Exchange as a token of appreciation for their support of the event, and concluded with a group photo session.
In his remarks, Dr. Asyari Hasan expressed his appreciation for the successful implementation of the School of Investment 2026 and the consistent efforts of the Islamic Investment Gallery, FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta in presenting various beneficial activities for students. He assessed the Sharia Investment Gallery as a Semi-Autonomous Institution (LSO) that actively organizes educational programs within the faculty. He also stated that the university, including the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, fully supports this activity. In his closing remarks, he expressed his gratitude to the Indonesia Stock Exchange for their support and collaboration, and expressed his hope that this collaboration would continue to provide impactful programs for students and the community related to the sharia capital market.
Entering the main event, Session I: Panel Discussion, moderated by Ilham Ananda Firdaus, RTA., AWP, featured three speakers: Dr. Ali Sakti (Economist at Bank Indonesia), Reza Sadat S. (Sharia Capital Market Specialist at IDX Islamic), and Edo Ardiansyah (Equity Analyst at Phillip Sekuritas Indonesia). In this session, the speakers discussed the importance of reading market signals through macroeconomic analysis, sharia capital market developments, and investment instrument analysis as a basis for determining investment strategies. The discussion proceeded interactively through a question-and-answer session with participants, then concluded with the presentation of certificates to the speakers and moderator.
Next, Session II: Talkshow, moderated by Ramadhan, S.E., RTA., RSA., AWP., featured Rheva Farouq (Founder of Trader Hebat Indonesia & MediaTrader.id) and Alvin Tanasta (Founder of Supercuansaham.id, Value Investor, and former fund manager of @eToro). In this session, the two speakers shared their experiences in the investment world, strategies for identifying market opportunities, the importance of risk management, and how to develop a disciplined and adaptive investor mindset to changing market conditions. The participants' enthusiasm was evident in the lively discussion that continued until the end of the Q&A session, before concluding with the presentation of certificates to the speakers and moderator.
As part of the closing ceremony, the committee held an interactive quiz hosted by Salsa Bilah Ananda Sahla and Aqila Alif Ardianto. This was followed by an award ceremony for the winners of the 2026 Sharia Capital Market Week (SCMW) competition, a token of appreciation for the participants who had achieved success in various competitions throughout the SCMW 2026 series. The event was officially closed by the Master of Ceremonies at 2:00 PM WIB.
Through the School of Investment 2026, it is hoped that all participants will improve their ability to read market signals, understand the various factors that influence capital market movements, and make wiser, more objective, and analytically informed investment decisions. (ah)
