The Tax Center of the Faculty of Economics and Business, UIN Jakarta, held a seminar on "Shaping a New Era of Fiscal Equity through the Global Minimum Tax."
Tuesday, September 9, 2025 - The Tax Center of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta officially opened its largest annual work program, TaxTival 2025, with a National Seminar themed "Shaping a New Era of Fiscal Equity through the Global Minimum Tax." This opening event served as a platform for crucial discussions on the implementation of the Global Minimum Tax, a policy touted as capable of creating fiscal justice for all countries.
The event featured leading speakers in the field of taxation, including:
- Johanes Glorinus Saragih, S.S.T., M.Int.Tax, APCIT, APCTP from the Directorate of International Taxation.
- Lilik Fitrianta Pracaya, Ak., CA., M.E., BKP., ADIT. from TPC (Tax Planning and Compliance).
- Melani Dewi Astuti from the Directorate General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy, Ministry of Finance.
The discussion, moderated by Naufal Afif, M.Ak., BKP., APCIT., APCTP. from TPC, aimed to provide a basic understanding of the Global Minimum Tax, particularly its strategic role in creating fiscal justice and preventing tax avoidance practices by large corporations. Furthermore, the event sought to raise awareness of the importance of a fair tax system for national and global economic development, while encouraging the active participation of young people in increasingly complex international tax issues.
As a flagship program, TaxTival consists of five series of activities: the Tax Olympiad, Tax Video Competition, Tax Poster Competition, Tax Essay Competition, and a Tax Webinar. This series of events is designed to integrate learning, creativity, and competition, making it an effective platform for students and the general public to explore tax issues.
The holding of TaxTival 2025 demonstrates the Tax Center FEB UIN Jakarta's commitment to becoming a center for tax education and research relevant to global developments.
