Bogor, May 21, 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held an intensive workshop to strengthen academic excellence and institutional governance. The event, held in Bogor, was attended by the faculty leadership, including the Dean Prof. Dr. Ibnu Qizam, M.Si, Vice Deans, as well as all Program Chairs (Kaprodi) and Program Secretaries (Sekprodi) within FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
This workshop was officially opened by the Dean of FEB UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. In his remarks, the Dean emphasized the importance of synergy, operational discipline, and adaptation to global standards to elevate the study programs at FEB to a higher level, both nationally and internationally. The full attendance of the Vice Deans and program study representatives serves as evidence of the faculty’s strong commitment to comprehensively formulating strategic steps for the future.
To examine strategies for the governance of graduate programs and world-class faculties, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta invited a leading management expert and academic, Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., who currently serves on the Board of Directors of the MBA program at FEB UGM’s Yogyakarta Campus.
In his keynote session, Prof. Amin Wibowo shared a clear overview of strategic thinking titled “Management of the Master of Management Program: The Experience of the FEB UGM MBA (MM) as a Strategic Benchmark.” He highlighted the long track record of the UGM MM as the oldest Master of Management program in Indonesia, established in 1988, which has since achieved the #1 ranking in Indonesia and #30 in Asia according to the QS Global MBA Rankings 2026.
Prof. Amin outlined the seven-pillar framework for sustaining a business school’s reputation, which includes operational autonomy in governance, clear positioning, commitment to international accreditation standards, a faculty mix (academics and practitioners), selective student admissions, financial diversification, and the strength of the alumni ecosystem.
“Global accreditation such as AACSB is not merely a decorative certificate on the wall or a marketing tool. It is an operational discipline that compels institutions to continuously measure, evaluate, and improve their quality on an ongoing basis,” said Prof. Amin Wibowo to the workshop participants.
Through this workshop, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta gained valuable insights (key lessons) from the success of globally affiliated governance, while also formulating core differentiators and strengthening a resilient curriculum ecosystem to face the challenges of future digital disruption. This step is expected to accelerate the achievement of the faculty’s vision in producing outstanding, competitive graduates with an international reputation. (AC)
