SOUTH TANGERANG, JULY 22, 2026 – The Development Economics Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held the “Concentration Dialogue x ADKESMA” event on Wednesday (7/22) at the Old FEB Theater on the 2nd floor of UIN Jakarta’s Campus 1.
With the theme “Strategies for Choosing a Concentration That Aligns with Your Potential and Career Opportunities,” this event—initiated by the Development Economics Study Program Student Association (HMPS) and the Siap Aksi Cabinet (Academic Department x Student Affairs)—aimed to provide in-depth guidance for students before they decide on their area of specialization.

The event was officially opened by the Associate Dean for Cooperation and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Dr. Asyhari Hasan, M.Ag. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of a thorough understanding of each academic concentration option so that students can maximize their potential throughout their studies and in preparation for the workforce.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the Development Economics Study Program, Dr. Arief Fitrijanto, M.Si, noted that this forum is a strategically designed annual event.

“This event is part of our regular program to guide students in choosing a concentration based on sufficient knowledge and careful consideration. We hope students will not simply choose a concentration just to follow the crowd, but rather based on a comprehensive understanding of their own potential and future career opportunities,” said Dr. Arief Fitrijanto.
During the main dialogue session, the presentation and discussion were led directly by the Program Secretary, Rr. Tini Anggraeni, along with Fitri Amelia, a lecturer in the Development Economics Program. The speakers comprehensively analyzed the four main concentrations offered by the Development Economics Program, namely:
1.    Development Planning
2.    Monetary Economics
3.    Public Economics
4.    Regional Economics
In addition to outlining the academic scope and curriculum focus of each concentration, the presenters also provided an overview of career prospects and the relevance of each field of specialization to current national and global economic dynamics.

The event, which began at 8:30 a.m. WIB, was enthusiastically received by the students. Through this interactive discussion, students are expected to be able to choose their concentration in a rational and focused manner, in line with their interests and career goals. (AC)
